About this listen

Sammi is having the worst weekend. When what was supposed to be a secluded romantic getaway turns into a near-death experience when she is stranded alone in the mountains during a snowstorm by her two-timing boyfriend. Sammi faces a desperate situation. With no cell service, dwindling food supplies, and a power outage, she doesn't think it could get worse until an accident leaves her unconscious and vulnerable. When she comes to, she awakens to find herself in a warm cabin, and her rescuer a creature of fantasy - an orc. And he thinks that she will be a perfectly obedient pet. Ha! He wishes.

Orgath is an exile, the son of a vanquished chieftain of his clan. His days and nights are spent alone more often than not. When he finds a tiny human while hunting in the human world his compassion moves him to rescue the little thing and bring her home as a companion. He quickly finds out that there is a lot more to humans than orc-kind has believed.

When things starting heating up and passion ignites between them, they discover the potential for a lot more in their relationship than either could have imagined.

Wonderful Rich Story

I would love to live in this world. The book was amazing and the audio performance adds a depth to the story. I can listen to it again and again.

Growly Orc snatches a mate that bites back

Such a unique story, with likable characters and awesome narration (sounds exactly like a growly orc during MMC parts, and sounds like a female during fmc parts). If you're a monster romance fan, you'll love it.

Strong FMC that not only matches the stubborn orc, but has him eating out of her hand by the end lol. A fun adventure in a primitive orc world that spans into the human world twice, with funny shenanigans and culture clashes. Stands alone with full HEA for the couple.

Wish the 2nd book was already on audio, I'd snatch it up so fast. Have to read it in KU for now. Happy listening fellow monster lovers!

Great story, narrator was a bit rough at first

I enjoyed the story, it was definitely a great listen. However, it took me a little bit to get used to the narrator.

Sweet

I bought this book a while ago and have listened to it a couple of times. I find it funny and sweet. I love all the characters, and the narrator did an awesome job. I really wish that you would make the rest of this series as one I can listen to. I'd love to know what happens to everyone else

Original

Original but also R rated, so not for Young Adults unfortunately. Unfortunately l say as it would be a great story for that age bracket. It also has F and C words for those not so comfortable with that language. I really enjoyed the storyline. The narrator's voice suited the characters too.

Not Your Moms Romance Novel

I loved it. It’s cute, funny, sweet and sexy. The premise was exciting and different. Sassy, smart heroine and a tough but gentle hero. Really enjoyed listening even though I wasn’t sure about a romance with an orc. Narrator does a great job.

Interesting

Female lead is a dunce. Cusses out her partner when that’s now how you fix things. One partner’s stupidity doesn’t justify you saying “f you” to someone you want to spend your life with. Other than that, not bad of a story. Recommend Broken Earth and Turongal!

Pretty good

I had read the book a few times and liked it. The sample of the narrator was ok, so I thought I would give it a shot. Sometimes when the narrator was doing Orgath’s voice, it was a little over the top. Reminded me of a dad reading a fairy tale and trying to do a dragons voice. The troll’s voice sounded a little like he was raised in Antebellum Georgia. Sammy’s parents had a bit of a Wisconsin accent, even though they were from Anchorage. Are the accents similar? At first, Sammy’s younger brother sounded like he was 12, but then thankfully got older sounding since it was implied he was dating one of the orcs at the end. Still, I did enjoy it, and don’t regret the purchase.
