Publisher's summary

A single bite is all it takes.

During the Outbreak, like billions of others, a man finds himself infected with the Phage. Desperate to spare his family from watching him become a walking nightmare, he flees. Soon after, he is dead.

Two years later, he wakes up.

Not in the afterlife, but in his own body. Trapped, unable to control the monster that carries him, and forced to witness the horror of its existence.

A hundred miles away, Sergeant Ethan Thompson thinks he has seen the worst the apocalypse has to offer.

He is wrong. Following the trail of a dying madman, he will embark on a journey of vengeance that will test the limits of his sanity. Along the way, he will learn that there is no justice at the end of the world. There is only the living and the dead, and in between, there is The Passenger.

Zombie 1 -humans well it might be a little more

If you could sum up The Passenger in three words, what would they be?

Stunning, page turner, great story. This was a well written book that could be its own series from the other books.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Passenger?

It was great to get the view of a zombie. This make you think differently about zombies. I don't mean to get close to one or keep it as a pet but to think it could still be alive and not able to control its self.

Any additional comments?

This book is one where if you have not read any of the others you will not be lost.

Unexpectedly good!

To walk inside a zombie was a great concept that actually worked out really good. I was easily able to follow the characters. It tied in as a good sequel to book two. However, the reviews seem to describe this book as not really part of the series. So I listened to this one after completing the 5 other books. I actually liked this one the best. James Cook has got it going on with this Surviving the Dead Series! I'll get more when they come out. By the way, Hicks was really cool!

Different Angle for sure!

What made the experience of listening to The Passenger the most enjoyable?

it was different, hearing the world from the side of a Z, but after the initial start, it got more interesting.

What other book might you compare The Passenger to and why?

None that I know of....

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

the end, when he waved to the shooter before he was terminated.

Any additional comments?

Get back to Gabe and Eric!

Pretty good

Another story to add to the small group of books that tell the zombie tale from a different perspective and that's why I liked it. Not overwhelmingly good but if you need a little change from the typical stuff you've read in the genre give it a try.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

Fun to have a zombie apocalypse from the perspective of the zombie. Nothing special, but entertaining.

Short and Sweet

Would you consider the audio edition of The Passenger to be better than the print version?

Yes, the narrator was the most talented that I have ever heard.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Passenger?

When the two stories came together. The story had a nice structure to it.

What does Jordan Leigh bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

You can always tell who is doing the talking. I actually thought that it was narrated by a few different people.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The whole book.

Any additional comments?

It was a great buy. It is a well thought out book. The colors and textures created an intense world.

i loved the story, original and compelling

What did you love best about The Passenger?

a completely different take of what you are used to for Zombie stories. gives a new version of what can happen on a Zombie apocalypze, usually people turn in to zombies and that is the end of their story, but on this book you see what can happen next. just simply amazing

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Passenger?

best moment for me was when the passenger was able to find out he could control his body and was able to influence his actions

Which scene was your favorite?

last scene on steel city when Ethan and the zombie interact, also fight scene in Broken bridge

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Another great story!

Very brave, and awesome, to hear the story from the zombies point of view. As always, James Cook nailed it and the story grows deeper! Great series.
