About this listen

A cruel fate. Two souls condemned. An impossible love.

I knew he’d choose me before he came to our door on the night of the Tithing. I bore the mark that would make me his.

It was my ancestor who spoke the words that bound us together, and his demon-god who promised protection for the price of blood.

My blood.

I was prepared to be that sacrifice if it would keep my family safe.

Loving Azrael? The thought never crossed my mind. He was and would forever be my enemy.

He’s not the only monster coming for me, though, and somehow, it’s in Azrael’s arms I feel the safest.

But I need to be careful with him. I need to guard my heart because if I don’t, he is sure to destroy me.

Superb Story Telling

Knight and Zavarelli…..I love the way that they write together. This story is so well written and I love all the detail and character development that is put into it. Great chemistry…so much angst 💔

Great wrap up to the duet

Great wrap up to this duet, tied up everything nicely. I would have liked to have seen the grandmother get hers a different way but she still paid the price.
The narration was mixed for me. The male narration was enjoyable and well done. The female was hit and miss. At times she was overly dramatic.

Should’ve been one book instead of two.

Good story but slow and drawn out in some parts. Should’ve been one book. Loved FC and MC. Superb narration.

Repeat

It was a good story, but this is just a revision of the Dark Legacy trilogy by Natasha Knight which I absolutely loved.

A Satisfying Ending

The Penitent is the second book in the Sacrifice duet, and Willow and Azrael need to find a way to break the curse. They have fell in love and Willow has become pregnant, but they are still under threat. This time, Willow and Azrael work together to fight the threats in their house and of their house while they fight the past to earn their future. I enjoyed the ending and their relationship. I enjoyed the character and the romantic chemistry, and I enjoyed the conflict that they had to overcome (not a 3rd act break up) in order to earn their HEA.

Another Excellent IVI Story

I really enjoyed this story because of the addition of the supernatural but so much that it was overboard. When the book ended I still wanted to know more about what was going to happen with Raven and even Bec. I hope there's a duet about Raven and Emanuel coming that will mention Willow and Abecus. Actually I wouldn't mind hearing about all the Wildblood sisters in their own story. The characters were so well developed they just makes you want to know more about them all.
