Billionaire software developer Parker Braxton knows everyone wants something from him. That's why he made a multi-million-dollar bachelor pact with his friends to never marry. But he never counted on running into, literally, the quiet but sensual Layla Fallon.

Layla isn't afraid of hard work. Still, there is no light at the end of her student-loan tunnel. When Stuck-Up Suit—Parker Braxton—accidentally runs her over, it's the last things she needs. She refuses his help, but he's persistent. He's also handsome, kinder than she ever expected, and she's doing her best to ignore her attraction. Which is harder than it sounds when she's recuperating at his penthouse.

Sparks fly. Hearts flutter. But falling for Layla could cost Parker more than just several million dollars.

Contains mature themes.

this was a cute one. I would have loved a duet narration but the female narrator did a great job. 👍

sweet story

I loved everything about this story. The transformation of Parker and the feeling that grew for him overtime. And of course the young and sweet-hearted artist. True romance.

I enjoyed the book.
I liked the characters and enjoyed their relationship. I was a little disinterested towards the end, but the beginning and middle were worth it. There were good steamy scenes that I enjoyed. Written in a pleasant way and the narration was very good.

Pleasant book

Cute and a wee bit predictable. It made it easy to listen to though. I would listen to it again.

Parker & Layla: trigger- there are some triggers that are skimmed over but not really focused on. child abandonment, pregnancy trap, grief and loss. I really enjoyed this book. it wasn't exactly a comedy moreso just a contemporary romance. Parker is rushing to the hospital after getting a call about his mom and on the way he happens to hit Layla, his barista, walking to campus. from that point in it's a whirlwind of nonsense as Parker does what he can to make up for hitting Layla with his car and Layla tries to keep her distance. then they spend time getting to know each other and then getting to KNOW each other. it's a good, spicy read with some surprises mixed in there. good first time read from this author.

Parker literally ran into Layla which started their journey filled with seduction, hilarity, charm and tons of fun. I enjoyed going on this ride with them.

I accept suspending disbelief for these stories. The anti-relationship billionaire/prince/star athlete/“insert highly successful bachelor here” has to fall for the innocent and idealistic yet smart and independent woman. She, of course, must have a very low opinion of herself (tragic past is a plus). Of course there is no communication when it matters and it causes a split.
However, all that was acceptable, within this trope, until her stupid move.

Now… There are some (unsurprising) spoilers ahead so stop reading if you still hope to be surprised…

She finds out that she is pregnant at a time when they were getting along acceptably well. She leaves without any word. Doesn’t send him a message, doesn’t leave a written note, doesn’t even tell the concierge that she is leaving, nevermind why she is leaving. She just disappears. At this time, a normal person would start to ask the right questions. Should he notify somebody, given that he wasn’t expecting her to leave? Should he call her or send a message asking what happened? Call the police? Nothing happens: he doesn’t call her, she doesn’t call him. Is this normal behaviour, in this context?!? Would you want somebody like that? It is stupid! Write a damn note, woman and say you will be out of town or something! This ruined the whole book for me.

Silly girl annoyed me

Not my cup of tea. Seemed like writing was done by someone in high school.
