Read and Listened

I own the Kindle and Audible version. It was better read to me than reading it myself.

A lot of useful tips!

Some of the value is just having a validation of what I already believed.
For example, poor communication has always been a problem in my family and at my work. There were several tips that I will try to apply to improve my communication with others. I’m convinced that If we all could just practice “active listening” half of all communications problems would go away.
I learned a ton about how everybody can contribute with different skills toward achieving the same goal.
Another thing this audiobook helped me realize is how emotions are a problem with both my family and my work. The chapter on Emotional Intelligence actually helped me put a couple of questions on our job application. I frankly don’t need the extra stress. But I will try to use the tips to improve the emotional health of my existing relationships.
