A matchmaking sister.

What did you love best about The Perfect Fiancé?

The characters were very likeable, the sisters, Rosamund and Fiona, looked out for each other. Marcus, too, had his positive points. There were good descriptions of the countryside. The story progressed at a good pace.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Rosamund, she always put others first, even when disappointing prospective suitors she tried to find them other matches. She was very caring of her sister, although she didn't always think about what others might want for themselves.

Which character – as performed by Rosalyn Landor – was your favorite?

Rosamund, as she featured the most, so had the most to say and the list action.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, I did have a chuckle at Sir Seymour and his outbursts during the play.

Any additional comments?

I thought Rosalyn used her different voices for the various characters to good effect, changing pitch and accent as required. I always like to hear a British accent when the story is set in England. This is a sweet romance, only a few kisses. The length of the audiobook was ideal if you just had an a couple of hours free.

Enjoyed this story and the narration was good.

This is a prequel to the Matchmaking For Wallflowers series. I have not read others in the series, but I very much enjoyed this one. It is a sweet story with a delightful leading lady. I definitely would like to read the other books in this series after reading this one. I listened to the audio version and narrator, Rosalyn Landor, did a good job on the narration.

Short but Beautiful!

Rosalyn Landor did a fabulous job reading the story to me, I think I should have had her read this one first but I forgot it was the prologue to the series.

Rosalyn and Markas Story, Rosalyn was such a caring younger sister. She wanted to find a husband for her sister Fiona to insure that she would be happy.

What Rosalyn didn't expect to happen did. What was that? Oh no I can't tell you that, you must get the book and read it for yourself or get the audio book and let Rosalyn Landor read it to you. I'm sure you will enjoy this book so I encourage you to get it soon.

Romance, romance, romance!

This was interesting and a jump back into history. Relationships were very different in the past.

Delightful to be able to listen and read along

Would you consider the audio edition of The Perfect Fiancé to be better than the print version?

Not better but equally good

What other book might you compare The Perfect Fiancé to and why?

Nice short read but I have nothing to compare it to.

What about Rosalyn Landor’s performance did you like?

I liked the different voice inflections.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The ending chapter

Any additional comments?

My Thoughts:

I both read and listened to the audible edition of this delightful novella prequel to Matchmaking for Wallflowers series.
It is a humorous and intriguing tale of a young lady bent on matchmaking for those around her. She never fathoms that she could possibly fall for a man she meant for another.
The characterization and storyline in this short novella are well done.
I would give it 4.5 of 5 stars for character development and storyline and in the case of the audio book 4 of 5 stars for narration.
I thoroughly enjoyed it being read to me in such a delightful way as I read along with the narration.
This is a clean sweet story so there is no sensuality rating.

Voice for historical romance . . .

Rosalyn Landor has the voice for narrating historical romance. She makes you feel as if you have stepped back in time.
Rosamund was a matchmaker. She felt she had the perfect person for everyone. After meeting Marcus Worthing, Earl of Somerville again she believes that he will make a perfect match for her sister. What she didn't expect happened and this turned in to more than a match for her sister.

A nice quickie to see some of the character from the series. Knowing the outcome from book one, getting a quick recap was nice.

Simply boring

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Maybe a 13 year old.

What was most disappointing about Bianca Blythe’s story?

No real story. Too much simple and boring inner dialogue as well as immature dialogue. The ending was so abrupt.

What does Rosalyn Landor bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Rosalyn Landor was the reason I purchased this book, but even her excellence could not make me even like this book.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Rosalyn Landor.
