Wow

Okay I must be honest at first it was difficult to get into this storyline, it kept jumping all over and usually when that happens I can skip a few chapters and not miss a beat of the story. Babbyyy don’t give up on this book because once the twist and turns started to happen it didn’t stop until the end. I do think many parts seem to be retold and was unnecessary, but it was worth it to see the end product. Definitely recommend as a book club book of the month.

A gripping tale of friendship & deception

Having finished “The Perfect Friend” by Barbara Copperwaite and narrated by Katie Villa, I'm still reeling from the experience. This deviously complicated thriller had me hooked from the start, with its expertly woven web of lies and secrets. The ending was a criss-cross surprise! We follow Alex, whose world is shattered when her life takes a devastating turn. Her one solace is her friend Carrie, who seems to be the only person she can trust. But as the story unfolds, you'll begin to question everything, including Carrie's true intentions. Villa's narration is superb, bringing the characters to life with her expressive vocals. Copperwaite's writing is brilliant, combined with a pace that's both relentless and audictive. This psychological thriller has its share of curiously suspicious subplots. “The Perfect Friend" is highly recommended and most definitely worth a cherished credit. I Iucked out and bought it for just under $9. Satisfaction guaranteed.

Now, THIS is a gripping psychological mystery

Wow!! Kept me guessing start to finish! The full last two hours where a whirlwind. I couldn’t stop listening.

Little slow in parts to start but overall REALLY good book.

Katie Villa is my absolute favorite narrator. Her voice is lovely to listen to and she just brings every book to life!

I saw a few reviews which said it was a confusing listen because of the character POV changing without directly at stating it at the start of the chapter but, if you’re paying attention it’s very clear.

It says a lot that I listened two the whole thing. I dislike stories that involve cancer and sometimes eating disorders are rough for me, but I kept listening because it somehow worked. I think because it’s a solid mystery and not a sentimental tear jerking. But, if you’re triggered by eating disorders,  skip it.

Great story and good twist. worth listening to it

Great story and good twist. Worth listening to it. Hard to find books lately that are not predictable after the first 10 mins.

The story that would never end.

I feel like this book had potential. There were some good parts and interesting ideas, but it went on and on, unnecessarily.

Between that and the fact that I had pretty much figured out who the “bad guy” was made the many twists needless and exhausting.
