Less professionally read than some others. I

I could hear a machine in the background. The reader mispronounced words. Someone should listen to these before making them available.

It’s a battle of good against evil...

This was a very good addition to the Jessie Hunt series. I’m very interested to see where this series will go next. This is book six. I would suggest listening to this series in order starting with The Perfect Wife. Each book builds on the previous books and much would be lost with the absence of character and relationship development from the other books. This book reaches a crescendo culminating in a resolution of conflicts beginning in the first book. Meanwhile, Jessie now has a sister. I can only imagine where this will go next.
Abigail Reno does a great job narrating.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

love this series of books! Great author!

the narrator for this didn't fit Jesse's tones that well, but great story! I am going to continue with the rest of the books!

Mispronunciations are Cringeworthy

I've listened to all the book in this series so far. The narrator for this title was not great. I purchased the next in the series only because is had a different narrator.

Enjoyed the ending

I enjoy listening to the books on Audible. If I’m honest I’m glad Crutchfields character was killed off. The near death experiences at the end is getting redundant.

Each sequel gets more graphic in the killings.

I’ve enjoyed the series and pushed through my aversion to the graph violence. That said, this will be the last one for me as each gets more graphic with increasing numbers of sadistic murders than the last. They are just too disturbing. Pierce could write just as compelling thriller with a lot less glee in the killings.
