About this listen

When Maggie Mitchell is transported to the 13th-century highlands, will Laird Logan Carr help mend her broken heart or put it in more danger than before? Generous, kind, and loving, Maggie nearly always puts the needs of others first. So when a mysterious elderly woman gives her an extraordinary pocket watch, telling her it is a conduit to the past, Maggie agrees to give the watch a try, if only to disprove the woman's delusion.

But it works.

Maggie finds herself in the 13th-century Scottish Highlands, with a handsome warrior who clearly despises her. Her tender soul is caught between her own desire and the disaster she could cause for others.

Will she find a way to resolve the trouble and return home within the allotted 60 days? Or will someone worthy earn her heart forever?

Cute--Time Travel With A twist!

I liked "The Pocket Watch" although different than any time-travel books I have read/heard.

Going to bed in our present time the night before, Maggie awakes atop a steed running hell-bent for leather. When she reigns him in he throws her. She soon meets her riding companion, one of the handsomest men she has ever seen, who seems to dislikes her immensely. Although she always enjoyed reading history books she has no idea where she is or how far back she has traveled. When they approached a castle she was thrilled. She'd seen history enactments of castle life and now she would get to see it first hand.

She plans on learning where she is and when, and see how close recorded history comes to the reality then return home but she learns something that delays her departure.

Paul Woodson did an excellent narration.

Love a Highlander time travel

This was my first book by Ceci Giltenan but lets just say it wont be my last. This was a short story, but very fulfilling. I am moving on to the next book in the series.

Great series idea!!!!!

I adore this story premise and love how it plays out. As I've noted in other reviews, hunky medieval men and strong smart women, perfect! Throw in cleverly crafted storylines and a inspired way to handle time travel and you get this series!

Paul Woodson has a deep rumbling voice with a delicious burr that just doesn't work to make soft female voices, but somehow it doesn't matter at all, he is that pleasant to listen to.

Chemistry plentiful but sex about absent, and that was just fine.

Creditworthy? Oh yes!
