About this listen

You think you know about Islam. But, did you know that Islam teaches that Muslims must wage war to impose Islamic law on non-Muslim states, or that American Muslim groups are engaged in a huge cover-up of Islamic doctrine? These and other "politically incorrect" facts are revealed by Robert Spencer in The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades). Spencer traces the history of Islam, the teachings of the Qur'an, and the Crusades, and reveals the myths and realities related to Islamic law, the treatment of women, and the continuing jihad.

This is a fast-paced, politically incorrect tour that you will not hear about in school or on the evening news, but will give you all the information you need to understand the true nature of the global conflict America faces today.

For those that think Islam is a peaceful religion.

For those that think Islam is a peaceful religion, this book is for you. It also compares Christianity to Islam and Jesus Christ’s teaching to that of Mohammad. It’s eye opening and a good read.

1000 years behind

It’s not like there will be an upcoming religious war. The fact is Muslim ideology has been in the war since the end of the Great War.

Highly Recommended

We in the West don't have a good understanding of the historical context of Mohammed, Islam, and what brought about the Crusades. This book provides an insightful review. Should be required reading for every elected official in Washington.

More relevant today than ever

After the horrific attacks by Hamas on Israelis in 2023, this book sheds light on the nature of Islam and these kinds of terrorist attacks are consistent with the hateful teachings of Mohammed and the Koran, according to the author.

Truth makes sense.

The topic of this book is, in my view, one of the most important strategic combats that the world is facing today. Without an understanding of the combatants and their ideology there is no way to win the ideological war that Islam wages in its Jihad around the world. Only through understanding the Quran and the people who follow the teachings of its author, Muhammad, can Christians and people of other faiths stand in Freedom and liberty in the laws of their own Nation.

This book, well presented and well narrated will give the reader or the listener the understanding needed to make pertinent decisions to defend and Preserve our God-given liberties.

Interesting content but…

Enjoyed the content of the book and learned new information. However, hearing the narrator audibly gasp for breath between sentences is obnoxious and distracting. I will probably add this narrator to my short list of ones to avoid in the future.

This Is Essential Listening

Hard-hitting, fact-driven narrative on both history and politics. Everyone who isn't a Muslim should listen to this.

Warning: Propoganda Alert

This book is so over the top, I felt like I was listening to a well reasoned WWII tract on why the Japanese are evil monsters or why the German people are superior and the Jews should be exterminated. With sections like: Mohommed vs. Jesus and Books You are Not Supposed to Read, you get this continual view that Islam preaches violence and cannot be reconciled with Western society. Wake up White People! Or maybe it's already too late and we wake up to the land of Euarabia in place of France, born of our own ambivelence for our Christian heritage, political correctness and lack of undertanding of the true nature of our enemy. Or maybe not. Balance is not the objective here. This book give you something to think about. I've thought about it, and it's just wrong.

All meat, no filler

Considering the controversial and politically sensitive subject of this book, the author's strategy was clearly to combat the expected charge of bigotry by almost exclusively quoting the Koran, the news media, history books, and Islamic religious and political leaders such that the bulk of the material is not the author's interpretation, but rather the words of the Koran and the interpretation of its Muslim leaders. Given this almost legalistic style, I will say the redundancy of Koranic scripture can be a bit grinding. After 4 hours of chapter after chapter of quotations calling for violence, intolerance, bigotry, killing, oppression, conquest, torture and jihad I couldn’t believe I was only halfway through the book! However, the book did start looking at historical and current events related to Islam about then, so my interest was renewed. The realistic look at the Crusades was really a gem, having been educated in the liberal tradition, I believed the Crusades to be spontaneous, unjustified acts of European aggression. However, it is interesting to realize that the Crusades were chronologically a response to Muslim aggression, not a cause of it. It is also interesting to think that without the distraction that Crusades created against aggressive Islamic designs on Europe, European civilization may never have had the opportunity to progress securely, and then to flourish to create the culture we live in today... otherwise, no Galileo, Boticelli, Mozart, Shakespeare, Newton, Faraday, Dickens, Curie or Einstein. Overall the book is very informative, if anxiety-provoking. It seems we are facing a single-minded intolerant adversary of militant religionists committed to conquest and subjugation of nonbelievers, and our politically correct tendencies may be a great detriment in assessing this threat and its ability to be negotiated with. The book gives a perspective on the current terroristic and jihadist crisis one will not find in the news. Get it!
