About this listen

A trustworthy and respected guide for pastors and church leadership in the post-quarantine world, providing hope and vision for the future of your congregation.

From thousands of surveys of church leaders and in-person consultations, Thom Rainer and his Church Answers team have gathered the essential wisdom you will need to face the challenges and opportunities that the quarantine crisis creates for the local church, including:

  • New and better ways to lead the gathered church
  • A wide-open door for growing the digital church
  • A moment to rethink the facilities
  • New strategies for church growth
  • And much more!

This book is, in effect, your personal church consultant, helping you plan and prepare for the future. In the midst of heartbreak, tragedy, and struggle due to COVID-19, here’s hope, wisdom, encouragement, and vision.

This book is valuable for those looking for local church and pastor resources to enhance church leadership, grow your church, and serve digital and online church communities in the post-quarantine world.

As a former pastor and founder of Church Answers, Thom S. Rainer is intimately familiar with the ever-present demands that pastors face. He has spent a lifetime committed to the growth and health of the local church.

The book was well read and hit some relevant topics clearly in the center. I believe occasionally there were more words needed to explain but overall it was helpful. The urgency of the need for the church cannot be overrated and the experience of the author leads to credible answers. He admits that a lot is still coming at us all. The church as I’ve growing to love has changed hopefully we can please God.

Helpful book, interesting conclusion!

Practical, relevant, and much-needed advice for the church to thrive in the new post-pandemic world

A Much Needed Read for the Church

This book is premature, in the best of circumstances. One moment, Thom says the world is different post-COVID; the next, it will be years before we know the full extent. This is vacuous and helps nothing, because he can play both sides without any serious commitment. The ethics of online church streaming is not even addressed, let alone suggested as something worth discussing.

It is a collection of vague "I heard of one church" with no grounding or context stories. This is my last Thom Rainer book as a result, because anyone pushing a book on this top

The reader was great. But, this is a cash grab.

TLDR: Thom wanted to sell books

I have read several books by Thom Rainer, so I know the material is good, but whoever produced this recording made it too difficult for me to get through. and most cases, the narrator starts each sentence with a loud volume, then gets softer as he talks. I could not find a decent volume to settle on, so I can hear all of the content comfortably, because if I wanted to hear the softer parts, the loud parts would hurt my ears. I spend most of my time listening to audiobooks while I am driving, and this is the first time I ever experienced this sort of problem. I wish I could get a refund, but I don’t see an option to do so.

Good content, Poor audio recording.

I'm a big Rainer fan. And thankful for a number of his books. However, this book seems to simply be revisiting previous concepts in his other books. I was mostly looking for a book to help me think innovatively about the future, but unfortunately this is looking back at what he has already written, and trying to place those concepts into a new context.

A revisiting of previous books

The price of the book should be cut by 1/3 because the narrator got extremely quiet towards the end of every sentence. Overall the book was good.
