About this listen

Explorers Lewis and Clark had to adapt. While they had prepared to find a waterway to the Pacific Ocean, instead they found themselves in the Rocky Mountains. You too may feel that you are leading in a cultural context you were not expecting. You may even feel that your training holds you back more often than it carries you along. Drawing from his extensive experience as a pastor and consultant, Tod Bolsinger brings decades of expertise in guiding churches and organizations through uncharted territory. He offers a combination of illuminating insights and practical tools to help you reimagine what effective leadership looks like in our rapidly changing world. If you're going to scale the mountains of ministry, you need to leave behind canoes and find new navigational tools. Listening to this book will set you on the right course to lead with confidence and courage.

Thought-provoking and timely.

My husband and I listened to this together on a road trip and enjoyed interacting with the ideas as they relate to our ministry situation.

Taking the Hill with Grandma

As a 30 year missionary and regional multi-cultural director for a global church i love the emphasis on ministry in the margins. Tod provides excellent adaptive leadership illustrations and honest gut punch stories of the trenches of mans depravity and the transforming Grace of our Savior!

Principles for all leaders.

My mentor gave me this book. This book has stretched my thinking. I’m a entrepreneur and now I believe that God will use each one of us no matter what our talents are.

absolutely amazing thought-provoking book

Even though the author and I share disagreements on church polity and how things should be handled, the parallel with Lewis and Clark as a road map into expanding the Christian church deserves careful thought and consideration.
