Former Navy SEAL Hamilton Jones thought that the love of his life was dead. But when a girl claiming to be his daughter shows up with a dire message from his wife, Ham knows he will stop at nothing to find her and bring her home.
Kidnapped by rebels while serving as an interpreter in Ukraine, Signe Kincaid has spent the past decade secreting out valuable information about Russian assets in the US to her CIA handler. Fearing for her daughter after being discovered as an operative, Signe sends her to Ham for safekeeping. She's ready to give her life for her country, and she can hardly expect Ham to rescue her after breaking his heart over and over.
When Ham discovers the reason Signe has kept her distance, he must choose between love for his wife and love for the nation he has vowed to protect. Will he save the many? Or the few?
USA Today best-selling author Susan May Warren takes you on a global search and rescue mission where the stakes are higher than ever in this final installment of her popular series.

The story needed a hard edit for redundancies and, most importantly, realism. I liked the premise and really wanted to like this as much as the other books in the series, but there were too many sections that were completely unrealistic to be able to settle and enjoy the story.
Warning: spoilers ahead
The volcano and tsunami section was probably handled the best and fit the S&R theme pretty well. However, the unrealistic elements of a full town being basically ignored by the local government/police/rescue agencies was laughable.
The main plot line of the spies was pretty far-fetched, but what made it hard to get through was Signe and Ham going back and forth constantly: I love you, I don't trust you, I trust you, I'll pretend not to love you, etc. It went on too long. The unrealistic part of this is that the CIA, private security sector, and senatorial/presidential appointees seem to be comprised of only about 10 people who all know each other. Really?
Finally, the worst for me was the part where Jenny confesses to Orion about the abortion in her past and they discuss it and... it's handled in like thirty seconds? For a Christian book, there was no acknowledgement of how heinous an act that was. Only a shallow chat. Seriously? I'm glad of the example of God's mercy and forgiveness towards the character, but she didn't even show remorse really. Or seem to realize she took a life. It did not fit anything else in the Christian aspect of the book and was terribly off-putting and disappointing. I listened to the whole thing to see if they circled back to it more, but no.
I so much wanted to enjoy this book but it really missed the mark. Do not recommend.
