Short Folktale

We enjoyed this folktale. Great children's bedtime story. I would imagine it is hard to write a good story in the amount of time that was dedicated to this story. A job well done for that feat.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

Short and sweet

The Prince of Nothing is a short, short story of everything, yet nothing. The young Norse prince runs before the north wind as he searches for nothing. Have you seen it? Where is it? As he chases after nothing, he admits he has everything! Fascinating lesson on the meaning of life that keeps you thinking long after you've finished.. Tracy Collier is a fabulous narrator with her dynamic voice and perfect Norse accent.

A nostalgic listen

Listening to this piece brought about a sense of nostalgia for the fairytales that I grew up reading.

I was impressed with the heart felt narration and classical feel that brought to mind the golden age of English literature.

Interesting short story. while short, I've spent a bit of time after listening thinking about the message and what it means to me. it got it's message across well.
I liked the narrator's voice and she did a great job

Narration and writing that commands ones’ attention and imagination

It’s not often that one comes across such a short tale that engrosses the listener within 22 seconds. The narrator is outstanding and expertly portrays an array of accents and voices overflowing with emotion and conviction. The emotion and dynamics of her voice simply command your attention and has you hanging on to each word as the tale unfolds. The wording throughout the story is so colorful and animated that one is able to feel that they are there, standing before the north wind. Short story and fairy tale lovers will become enamored.

Rare and Different Bedtime Story

This short story harks back hauntingly to a different era and yet at the same time is refreshingly new. I was personally transported back to those moments we all as children yearned for - those last precious bed time minutes with a parent who worked hard and was often absent yet always took the time to finish the day with a story.

The Prince of Nothing is a beautifully crafted allegory that describes that elusive quest every person and creature faces for a bone deep sense of being satisfied with ourselves and our lives. The story is very competently narrated by Tracy Collier who achieved the important goal in a short bed time story of making every word heard and special. The reader is thus able to deeply connect and lose him/herself in the ebb and flow of the story.

I really recommend holding the cover up for children as the story unfolds to add a visual enjoyment factor. The very appropriate cover gave me a creative representation of our Prince that merged with my imagination.

Everything or Nothing

What is there to do when a prince has owned, seen and done everything in the world? Listen to the wind. It has the answer.
