About this listen

It’s hard to resist the past in this steamy, dark hockey romance—an Amazon Top 10 Bestseller from USA Today-bestselling author C.R. Jane.

Blake moved to L.A. for a fresh start and to make it big. Now she’s waiting tables while her dreams of becoming a model hover just out of reach. She already has her hands full . . . and then her past walks into the room and changes everything.

“What’s your name, sunshine?”

At first Blake doesn’t recognize him, but the gorgeous six-foot-four, tattooed pro-hockey player is Ari Lancaster—her first ever crush, the one who got her through the worst time in her life. He’s all grown up now, with an unshakeable confidence and the ability to turn her inside out with a single kiss. And he has no intention of letting her go again.

Blake knows she should resist, but each time Ari’s overwhelming intensity is focused on her, all her best intentions go out the window. There’s no denying they’re playing in different leagues, but it’s only a matter of time before Blake starts to wonder if the completely wrong guy she’s falling for . . . is actually the right one.

Ari and Blake

4/5 ⭐
4/5 🌶️
5/5 🎧

I think I fell head over skates for Ari. He was absolutely cray cray in all the best, okay, worst, ways. I really enjoyed his and Blake's relationship, I loved that it was almost a second chance romance as they were each other's first crushes as kids. It brought such a sweet element to this ridiculous story.

I loved Blake. As someone who really struggles with body image, I found so much of myself in her. *please be aware of triggers, there are strong themes of body image, eating disorders and self harm with Blake* My heart hurt for her every time someone made a snide remark or she tore herself down about her weight.

The audio was so good. I love love love Troy Duran, especially when he plays the unhinged, and Alexis Page was wonderful as Blake. I can't wait to see if these two play Walker and his leading lady in a couple months.

Love me some Ari

Once again Troy Duran didn’t let me down. Troy did Ari justice, he captured his whole personality perfectly. Alexis Page was the perfect Blake, you could feel the connection and emotion when she spoke of her hardships.

The Pucking Wrong Guy follows the very lovable Ari as he searches for the girl he fell in love with at 12 Blake. Ari is a giant filthy mouthed cinnamon roll of a man. Blake is an aspiring model and waitress trying to make her way in the world. The amazing connection between these 2 is so amazing. He sees all the hurt that Blake carries and wants nothing more than to take them from her. He proves his love and devotion to her time and time again. The story is excellent and the spice is 🔥🔥🔥🔥.

Ari & Blake are soulmates

I loved Ari

I love Troy Duran as a narrator and this story was just yum, I’m used to anti hero type men and Ari was just obsessive and I was there for it! I enjoyed a different MMC that wasn’t an a&$hole. They meet as kids and he wouldn’t have any other. I recommend.

Duet narration 🙌🏼🤩

Alright, let me introduce you to Ari, a character who takes "over-the-top" to a whole new level. This might not be everyone's preferred type of story, but hey, we're diving into a world of fictional men here – men who become absolutely fixated on their significant others and are willing to go to extreme lengths to win them over and keep them.

Ari's infatuation with Blake was intense, especially considering Blake's personal struggles. But it was the way Ari supported her and lavished her with love that truly warmed my heart. I found myself completely engrossed in their story.

In a nutshell, if you're a fan of dark romance and MMCs who push the boundaries, then this audiobook is an ideal listen for you!

The narration was excellent. This was a duet narration by Troy Duran and Alexis Paige, and I have zero complaints!

Ari stalker and swooner

Another phenomenal book by C.R. Jane.
I thought I liked Ari in book 1, but now I’m in love with him!
Who doesn’t want a hockey player to ask to be traded just to find you.
He has loved Blake(Layla) since they were kids and now that he has found her he won’t stop till she is his.
Blake and Ari are hot together, there is so much chemistry.
The friendship banter between Ari and Lincoln was even better in book 2, I laughed so hard “…”

I read and listened to the audiobook.
Troy Duran and Alexis Paige did another phenomenal job with book 2.
Alexis again nailed the emotion from Blake’s past and the struggles she had on a daily. Troy did a wonderful job with Ari and Lincoln.

I loved this book and audiobook, well worth the read and listen.
