About this listen

Morgan Freeman narrates this poignant retelling of the Nativity, weaving together the gospels of Matthew and Luke as it follows Mary and Joseph on their journey to Bethlehem, culminating in the touching events surrounding the birth of Jesus. An awe-inspiring musical score by The Christ Church Cathedral Choir, Oxford, captures all the power and beauty of the very first Christmas.

This tells the Truth about Christmas. Christmas is Jesus's Birthday. The birth of Jesus is a True Love Story. This was told with Great back ground sound. By one of the Best narrators I listen too. I buy all I can that he reads. Jesus is the They added some words different from the Bible, but it is still the same Truth . I really like this one over the others ...

Morgan freeman did a great job as did the choir and musical score background. It was beautifully put together. But like many books and traditions it had the wise men coming on the night of Jesus birth which isn’t accurate nor possible if you follow the timeline. And it was a little disappointing to hear not only 3 wise men but also names which isn’t Biblically accurate nor historically proven. Other than this-which you can tell is my soapbox- it followed pretty close to the Biblical narrative.

Close to Biblical narrative but not totally accurate

Morgan Freeman's voice is great. Excellent short reading of Christ's birth. Great length for kids without all of the bells and whistles of a kids book.

excellent performance and short
