About this listen

London, 1822.

Thanks to her older siblings, Lady Penelope Tidemore is no stranger to scandal. In order for her to make a good match, her secret longings for intrigue and romance must be quelled. Yet it is through terrible mischance that Penelope is caught in a compromising position—however innocent—with the darkly enigmatic viscount Ryker Black.

Mr. Black is no gentleman. Raised from the streets and proprietor of the most notorious gaming hell in London, Black lives in a world filled with debauchery and danger. Taking a Society wife from the very ton he despises is not part of his plan, even if the innocent Penelope turns his blood hot with desire.

But Penelope isn't afraid of Mr. Black, and she soon discovers that his reputation as a scoundrel may be designed to hide a surprising vulnerability. As this unlikely husband and wife grow closer, they learn that what started as chance could end up sealing their fates.

The Thing about Gardens

First, Tim Campbell is a favorite narrator of mine. His voice is perfection. All easy to understand & you really get into his story telling.
The book is great. I love Christi Caldwell's writing style. This book is a fabulous as a stand alone but if you are like me and love a series you are in luck. This book is a marriage of 2 series. The Tidmores are back! The third Tidmore girl is out in society. There is only fun with this family. The hero is a Dukes son by his mistress. But somehow (well the book will explain) was raised in Seven Dials. These two meet & everything changes. Lots of fun. Lots of intrigue. It's romance book with a bit of mystery thrown in! I love the evolving of the characters. I hope you enjoy as well. Whisper sync makes it even better!

Great storytelling!!!

Christi, I quite enjoyed the entire series. It is disgusting how we have treated our children in the past and frightening how we continue to do so today. Great twist on fate, that boys from the bottom of the foodchain would do well and enter the “nobility”. Loved the storylines. Great imagery and characters.

Tim Campbell was the perfect narrator. Tim you truly brought the characters to life. Great job on characterization and accents. Thank you 😊

OMG I didn't want it to end

I thought book 1 was good. Well book 2 was better, Ryker Black with all his rules and hatred and all it took was one little Penny to crumble it all. This book had it all love laughter trust friendship. With the way Ryker was described in The Rogue's Wager who would have imagined he was such a warm and loving person. I absolutely love it wish there was more. Also hats off to Tim Campbell and how he manage to make the characters come alive with his voice

The Scoundrel's Honor

This book was worth the money. It was kinda "hot" so is give it a 4. Now u have to go in order and this is the second out of the "Sin and Hell" club. But it's worth it in the whole. They r all great 👍

The narration was excellent

I liked the general storyline but think it was a little long. I liked the main characters, well presented. this is over 15 words.
