About this listen

The Horsekin are assembling along Prince Dar's northern border, and the Deverry alliance doesn't have the men or resources to prevent their enemies from moving into the wilderness areas known as the Ghostlands. But then the Dwrgi folk and the dragons come to Dar's aid, tipping the balance in their favor and offering Dar's people a chance to defeat the Horsekin once and for all.

A long series, but rich in world building and characters

I first started reading Kerr a long time ago, when she was still writing the series. I’ve finally gone back and finished the whole thing.
Her world is deep and well constructed and you feel like it could exist somewhere out there. There are a lot of characters and they keep coming back with new names and personalities, so it can be hard to keep track of it all, but it’s well thought out and a fascinating plot. If you don’t mind keeping track of all the various side stories that wind together it’s very engaging.
Kerr is a great writer, and I really appreciate her stories.
