About this listen

Despite her misgivings, child psychologist Lynn McLeod can't ignore the plea to help 10-year-old Jilly Asche, the daughter of her ex-husband, Stephen. But immediately upon her return to Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains, Lynn is drawn subtly into the lives of everyone in the secluded household: Stephen, now an enigmatic stranger; Julian, a mesmerizing family friend who challenges Lynn's ideas of life and death; and Jilly, the beautiful lost child burdened by a terrifying and deadly secret.

The danger that threatens both Stephen and his daughter soon closes tightly around Lynn. And all the while, the soft, hypnotic sound in the wind - the eerie yet beautiful music of the Singing Stones - lures Lynn into a realm of mystery, murder, and dormant passion...and perhaps to the key to her own destiny.

I Loved the Reading.

I have always loved reading Phyllis Whitney's books since my freshman year in high-school. My eyes are older now... But my ears are great. I thoroughly enjoyed listening The Singing Stones. It is so wonderful to be able to enjoy the story again.

I Love Phyllis Whitneys Books

I enjoyed this book and the storyline. One thing that is a little disruptive is the narrator also has several other books for this author so it is strange to hear another character voice in this book

Liked it

There was mostly sadness in this story. Well-developed plot and characters. Narrator had a broad range of voices.

Kept my attention.

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and the performance by the narrator. The story is unique and has twists that aren't contrived or predictable. With a wide array of character types, the story drives on toward a very interesting and surprising conclusion. This novel definitely doesn't disappoint.

I had never read any novels that were written by this author, so I'll be seeking more by her because I very much enjoy her writing style. I recommend this novel to anyone.

Surprisingly Good Story & Narration

Narrative was somewhat annoying as she kept fading out on the last word of a sentence, no matter what character voice she was in. Otherwise it's ok as audible plus but I wouldn't waste a credit on it.

Not great, not bad

Way to “out of touch” for my taste. Maybe others will get it. Not for me.
