Great Gift, a Pigmy Goat!
What did you love best about The Skirt Man?
great use of listening time. fun dialogue, a good mystery, tears and laughter
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Skirt Man?
when the boys gave mary the goat and of course, the opening of the shoe box. This is worth a re-listen. It does start out a bit slow, but you will soon get into and listen straight though as I did.
Have you listened to any of Anna Fields’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I found this story as I always look for work done by the late great Ms Fields. This will not disappoint
Any additional comments?
I will be getting Billy's story as this was his sister's tale.

Skillful writing.
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Yes, in fact, the author demonstrated her talent as a writer by exposing social, political and media aspects of a town's life in a very intelligent manner.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Skirt Man?
The book as a whole is memorable because of the way in which every personage is portrayed
Which scene was your favorite?
None in particular.
Did The Skirt Man inspire you to do anything?
Other than to look for books of the same quality of writing... not really!
Any additional comments?
I must confess that I bought the book for the title; intriguing as it was, I believed it to be related to the current matters of homosexualism, transvestites or similar subjects. Thus, I was surprised to discover the real premise, which in turn motivated me to read it much sooner than I read most of other books. I'm not fond of historical fiction, but this book has the ingredients that make of it a very pleasant and tasteful way to look at the topics covered by the author.
