great ending for series

I have listened to every single book in this series. DJ McHale and Will Dufris are and amazing combination of story telling. Now the real question is whether or not re read the stories and look for the clues left through out the series that leads to the ending.

Phenomenal!

The narrator put a lot of emotion into the story and made me feel like I was a part of the action!

I love this series

First I want to say I absolutely love this series I started reading when I was in high school at the time only book 1-4 was out I was suprised when I looked it up again and saw there were 10. I think the narrator does a wonderful job however I have realized from some of the book to this last one that the names of things changed in announsuation (dado [day doh] to [da doh] rockador [rock cater] from [row ca door]) it threw me at first but I got use to it pretty quick but I love this series! I could only find it at first on here but lucky with my tax refund i got the actual paper back books to share with my kids and i cant wait.

A beautiful bittersweet ending to an epic tale.

I loved this story from day one. the characters and their struggles and they way they handled those struggles. I suffered with them, I cried with them, I laughed with them and I was there through every moment. This series has been a fantastic journey and I am glad that I was able to share such an experience.. you can too!

To the end, What An Amazing Ride!

Bobby Pendragon is now a family institution. I have re-read this entire series four or five times now. This last instalment is definately more emotionally mature than book one, but then Bobby and crew are much older, and they've been through lots of refining fire.

Mr. MacHale's writing in such a way that I, as the reader, know only what the point of view characters know has been brilliant throughout the series and the pay off in this book is huge. Book 9, Raven Rise, left me hanging. The Soldiers of Halla opens with explenation of who Bobby really is.

By the end of the book, I cry happy tears in the last chapter every time.

The battle for Halla, and between Bobby and Saint Dane is classic good verses evil. Freedom of choice verses totalitarianism. I am greatful that my kids can read this and see brave kids making hard but good decisions, even when it hurts them to do so.

I have two daughters who also love these books. My 11 year old first started this series when she was 9 and has re-read the series twice. She always wants these books to be on her kindle and her mp3. Thanks to Mr. MacHale she is becoming an avid reader.

Mr. Dufris has taken lots of abuse in reviews. I completely disagree. His reading is magical. The voice he uses has always been apropriate to the book he is narating. He brings the stories to life and is consistant across the series. There are far worse narrators in the audible panthion.

And So We Go...

This is the way it was meant to be.

I've enjoyed the telling of Bobby Pendragon

This review applies to the series as a hole, I just didn't want to make a separate review for each book. The story is pointed to ages of 15 to 18 I believe, but its still a great read for anyone. I listened to the series while at work and it made my day go by quickly. I found myself pausing at work for moments because of how into the story I was. This series as a hole is under rated! But the person who make it as good as It could get was the reader, he had very clear voices for the characters, making it very natural and easy to follow the story. His voice was relaxing and confident, making his very interesting to listen to. Thank you for giving me the ability to enjoy this series!!
