Only just this side of Genocide

The story kicks along as Sorceress Anna goes on a Road trip. While she doesn’t like doing it she fries scores of opposing armsmen to ash & burns a few towns. The utter finality of the destruction is immense. Usually in war, some people live. I might try one more installment to see if the scale of devastation slacks off or not. I like the rebuilding & hope to see more bridges & fewer charred corpses. I could also stand to have mucous be less of a feature.

Narration: Again, a quality narration.

Devastate to be kind

This book shows how hard it is to make good decisions, and the sacrifice required for a great leader, and how you have to sometimes devastate in order to be kind. Great book, and things to be learned.

Great story

I love the story and world. The main character is a bit whinny and swears sometimes but the plot more than makes up for it.

Storyline pretty much as expected.

No real surprises here, then again, it would be pretty severe plot manipulation for it to have gone any other way. Obviously awaiting the next book, The young, evil sorcerer in brown still needs killin'.

I've loved this series ever since high school.

This was amazing! Fantasy with realistic feminist values!! I loved every minute of it!! I'm glad I actually have had a chance to finish this book!! Cause I started it I middle school and now 20 years later I love it for far deeper reasons.

Just too long to get to the finish line

Storyline was good, alot of repetition of the sorcerer’s complaints…it got old and made the story drag.

meh

the authors other series are much better. the protagonist in this story is to whiny. the magic system is not as clean as the other series. just not the same quality. I don't know but maybe money was tight the week he wrote this book.
