Not a big deal, the book should have actually animal sounds and different voices for the fighting scene.

This is far enough along to have left behind some of the awkwardness of the early books and gotten into the swing of the best parts of the series. Ellet's such a great Rachel, really portraying her toughness and inner fears and doubts while also being able to play fully into the silly aspects too.

I'm also so glad Ellet's Ax voice isn't like a pompous forty-year-old! She does a real nice job in general. I heard her on the Animorphology podcast and I've been slowly writing reviews since.

I loved this series growing up. Now I have started listening to them with my kids while in the car. They are just as eager as I was at their age to “read” the next book. I love that this has become our little tradition for our drives.
