Publisher's summary

The Success Paradox is the improbable story of a life and business transformed, told in a warmly authentic style that says: “I hit rock bottom, I surrendered, I began doing the opposite of what I’d been doing before, miracles happened, and here’s what you can learn from my journey.”

With riveting personal details that illuminate his discoveries, Gary details how he defied the odds—not just to survive but to thrive—by implementing a series of paradoxical strategies, fundamentally opposite to anything he’d ever done before. The result is an inspiring book about what happened to him and a blueprint for listeners to experience how to surrender and win in business and life.

A gritty real world story and process learned the hard way

This was a fantastic book in which the author took down all barriers and authentically produced his life story, worts and all. Once that was established, he walked you through what allowed him to recover and find success, while always leaning on showing how doing the opportunity had impacted his life. Worth reading each year!!!

Life Changing Must Read

This book is literally life-changing, and I would highly recommend it to any business, professional or really anyone in general. There are so many life lessons and relatable experiences that I believe most people could learn from and create positive change in your life. I listened to it on audible and right after ordered the hardcopy on Amazon, because I want to go through and highlight various things that really stood out to me. Hands-down in my top three books that I have listened to on audible in the last 10 years.

Must Read for all ages

I’m 60 years old and I have read hundreds of self-help motivational books over the years…all are helpful and insightful, but this one is special. Gary offers us a different way to think and a different way to approach life and business in a way that we can all relate to. I wish I had read this book 20 years ago, but it’s never too late.

Recursive storytelling filled with quotes of others

I tried really hard to get into this book. It wasn’t possible. A recursive storytelling approach took its toll on my mental health. It’s also riddled with quotes that disrupt the flow of the story. Two stars because this seems like a heartfelt story of a midlife crisis turnaround, but it couldn’t keep me tethered.
