About this listen

Kariss meets Dr. Amy Garrett, a woman who survived a brutal childhood attack in which the assailant was never found. Now Dr. Garrett wants her story written in a novel. Kariss wishes she could seek the advice of Special Agent Tigo Harris, but she broke off the relationship a few months prior and seeing him again would be too painful. She interviews Amy and conducts her own research, stepping unaware into a viper’s pit of danger.

Tigo misses Kariss and wants her back, but he understands why she broke off their relationship. Instead, he concentrates on solving a car bombing and bringing the killer to justice. As Kariss’ new story attracts an onslaught of danger that she never expected, can Tigo save the woman he loves and find who wants her dead for writing about an unsolved cold-case?

They kissed finally

What a boring book the murder plot was ok but dang their romance was so boring. If you like true romance book not for you. If you like God and very Christian stories it’s for you. Glad I got on sale!

excellent book. bad narrator

I have listened to another book in this series, I believe it's a different narrator. however I had a very hard time with how she read. The narrator had very subtle character differences in her voice so it was hard to follow along during a switch in characters. also she pronounced the name of the main character incorrectly, or at least different from the previous book. it was aggrivating and made me loose focus every time the name was said. the book itself was excellent. loved the content and suspense very well written.

Great book! Narrator not as great!

I loved the plotline of this story and it was a thrilling story with an unpredictable culprit in the end! The only dissapointing thing about listening to thos book was the narrator! While I loved the narrator in the first book, this book did not have a good narrator. Unfortunately, Kariss was pronounced VERY different in the second book compared to the first. If I wasn't super intrigued in the book because of the plot twists and suspense, this narration difference would havemade me stop listening to this book!

terrible narration

Any additional comments?

The story was ok but the narration was terrible. The narrator read the story out loud with no attempt to change voice for different characters. This made it difficult to distinguish characters during a conversation - I never knew who was speaking.

Great story

Characters were well defined throughout the story. But too many inconsistencies!! We enjoyed the entire series!!

Narration detracts from the story

It was hard for me to enjoy this story, because the narrator sounded like she might have been reading the weather. With so little inflection in her voice, it was often hard to follow the dialogue.

Great Story

Would you consider the audio edition of The Survivor to be better than the print version?

No. Jackie Schlicher seemed to have too much of a monotone. She was reading words, not telling the story. Failed at bringing the story to life.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Kariss. Sassy.

What aspect of Jackie Schlicher’s performance would you have changed?

I would have had her put more emotion in her performance and less just reading the sentences.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The shooting scene was well written.

Any additional comments?

This is a great book. could use a better Narrator.

Truly enjoyed this one!

I really enjoyed having 2 of the characters return from the last book. This was a really complex story that intertwined with lots of different and new characters. Without being a spoiler I was glad to see Santiago Harris finally surrender and have a relationship with the lord. Caress and he finally found their way to a relationship. But the true criminal was a surprise. It was up to the last few chapters that I began to suspect who it might be.

The narration was terrific.
Love this christian author!
