About this listen

Number-one New York Times best-selling author Stephanie Laurens returns with the next in her Cynster Sisters series...

The Honorable Miss Mary Cynster always gets what she wants. As the last unwed Cynster of her generation, she is determined to remain in charge of her life and of the man she will marry. At the very bottom of her list of potential husbands is Ryder Cavanaugh, the daring and devastating Marquess of Raventhorne, an overwhelming and utterly unmanageable lion of the ton. But destiny has a different plan.

Ryder needs Mary as his wife, not just because she is delightful, fiery, and tempting, but because he values all she could be. When fate and circumstance hand him the chance, he claims Mary as his marchioness...only to discover what he truly desires is not just to take her hand in marriage, but to capture her heart.

good

Is it really necessary to list offspring ad nauseam at the end? Thousands of words could be reduced to one sentence. really detracts from a good story.

Good narrator!

Laurens always gives us a good reads, but this seems to be the last of the Cynster series. Like all her men, he is a rake but recognizes Mary as not only his equal but a real asset to his aspirations.

As good as the early Cynster novels.

I was happy with the more recent novels . This has gone back to the earliest novels in the series. Great character development. Great story. Maybe like me, Stephanie had to get away from the family and face it fresh. This story is as good as they used to be.

About time

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Taming of Ryder Cavanaugh?

I can't really choose one.....all good!

Have you listened to any of Matthew Brenher’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This one was better

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Romance with the "right" amount of spice.

Any additional comments?

I'm glad Stephanie FINALLY got back to romance & the amount of spice in her early Cynster books. The history is ALWAYS good...the romance/spice makes the series.

Another Good Addition to the Cynster Legacy!

I have read every book in the Cynster legacy, and this book is another good one, especially for those who have read the prior books. Mary Cynster is the last unwed woman of her generation in the family. She is small, but totally bossy, head-strong and determined to remain in control of her live. Ryder Cavanaugh is the large, extremely handsome, head-strong Marquess of Raventhorne. Ryder decided that Mary was perfect to be his wife, but he had to work to convenience her. Mary was fascinated with his handsome face, but she was worried that she could not control him. Their courtship was filled with a battle of wills.

Someone tried to kill both Ryder and Mary. This part of story line was very predictible, but it served the purpose of brining Mary and Ryder' closer together, and it also brough them closer to Ryder's step-sibilings, which I have no doubt will be spin-off books in the future.

I am not crazy about the narrator Matthew Brenher. His famale voices are very annoying. I just turned the speed to 1.25x and it made it less painful.

I'm looking forward to another Cynster book!
