About this listen

When New York Times foreign correspondent J. B. Collins hears rumors that an al-Qaeda splinter cell has captured a cache of chemical weapons inside Syria, he knows this is a story he must pursue at all costs. Does the commander of the jihadist faction really have the weapons? If so, who is the intended target? The U.S.? Israel? Or could it be Jordan?

With tensions already high, the impending visit of the American president to the region could prove to be the spark that sets off an explosion of horrendous proportions. Knowing that terrorist forces have already toppled two regimes in the region, can Collins uncover the truth before it's too late? Or will the terrorists succeed in setting their sights on the third and final target?

As always Joel Rosenberg compels people to listen as the action packed story unfolds. His constant ability to bring the reader into the heart and soul of the characters. This book inspires a double pronged delve into both The Bible and current events. The characters question as we all do, the depths of God's loving, merciful protection as it runs intertwined with the most evil desires and doings of men.

Rosenberg.. Master of Prophetic Action in Fiction.

I've loved all of Joel Rosenberg ' books. I've especially enjoyed the audio book. His books help me to relate to what is going on in the world today, things that don't get reported on in the news. As a Christian, I feel we should know what is the current state of affairs in our world.

You can't put it down...you have to listen all the way through to the end.
What's more you want several more chapters. You want to know what happened to all the main characters.
Did the "good guys" win?
Most of all where is the President of the United States?
And last but not least, did the reporter accept Jesus as his Savior?
Maybe we'll find out in the next book..I hope that's soon!

Riverting...keeps you on the edge of your chair!

I listened constantly enthralled but had a real cliff hanger ending. Hopefully there is a sequel.

Fantastic Book

Without giving any real serious spoilers here the storyline was interesting and plausible to a point. But in the end it seemed to be more of the writers fantasy of how he'd transform into a seal team 6 operative when the sh*t hits the fan.

Interesting premise, but a bridge too far in the end.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Cheesy with heavy religious over tones...technical aspects of combat situations were laughable....if you like the ilk of Tom Clancy or Vince Flynn (as I do) this book will disappoint.

Nice premise...poor execution...did not enjoy.
