Tougher than ox hide, Lachlan Wallace can take about anything except a breakup call from his wife two minutes before competing in the karate championship. Arriving home with a loss, he agrees to watch his uncle's cat over the holidays. Or so he thinks - until he awakes on a 14th century battlefield beside a woman fighting for her life.
Taken from her at the age of two, Lady Christina de Moray hasn't seen her son in 13 years. While traveling with Robert the Bruce's army to exchange an English prisoner for the lad, a battle erupts. Losing the fight, Christina is rescued by a mysterious warrior while the English escape with her son yet again.
Left with no way back to the 21st century, Lachlan agrees to help Christina rescue the lad from his English captors. If the heir is not returned by Christmas next, the Bruce will make his decision whom to grant the de Moray lands, including Lady Christina's hand. Once his duty is fulfilled, Lachlan hopes to discover a way home - as long as he keeps his mind on the goal and ignores his growing love for the spirited woman who gives him her trust - and her heart.

What made the experience of listening to The Time Traveler's Christmas the most enjoyable?
Hurled back to the 13th Century, a 21st Century Martial Arts Champion lands in the middle of a battle between the Scots and the English just in time to save a woman from being ravished. Not having a weapon Lachlan overcomes the English warriors by hand to hand combat. As they escape the English the Lady Christina declares Lachlan Wallace to be her Champion. He doesn't know where he is or how he come to be there, he only knows he cannot abide a woman being abused and his principles dictated that he help her. What other book might you compare The Time Traveler's Christmas to and why?
It's a unique time travel story unlike any I have heard before.Which scene was your favorite?
Although there are many, one scene I liked was when Lachlan rescued Lady Christina's son who had been kidnapped by an evil English Earl 13 years ago. Lachlan could not imagine the boy would resist being rescued and was taken by surprise when the boy pulled a knife slashing him across the chest. Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, and I did.Any additional comments?
When the story first began I did not think I would like it, but soon I became completely engrossed and could not stop listening to it. It's a fast paced story and the 9+ hours sped by so quickly I was surprised when it ended. It had a good ending. The narrator gave a great performance.
Engrossing!

A love so strong, a destiny so great, time cannot prevent Lachlan from finding his purpose and true love.
This is one of the best stories I've had the privilege to listen to. Dave Gillies is brilliant in his narration of this book. I wish I could give this book 100 stars. Do not pass this one by. It will warm your heart in so many ways. Loved it.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
There is absolutely nothing that falls short in this book! The characters both rock! I loved the Christmas element! And the martial arts addition! And I have to mention the cover! It fits the character of the hero perfectly! Lachlan is intelligent, passionate, strong, loyal and a predator on two feet. When Lachlan is thrown into Christina’s time period, he is struggling personally. Christina has been dealt a difficult life and is in need of rescuing. What other book might you compare The Time Traveler's Christmas to and why?
I would compare the previous two books in this series to The Time Traveler's Christmas: Rise of a Legend (Book #1) and In the Kingdom’s Name (Book #2). It is just as awesome as its predecessors. Amy’s Scottish romances are interwoven with real historical events and spotlight factual characters from the period. Amy does a super-duper job of research and it shows. This series features an intriguing take on time travel historical romance. The legendary Scottish hero, William Wallace, is a common thread in this series. That said, this series has raised the bar. All three of the books in this series have surpassed everything she has written before –which is huge when the previous pieces garnered five-stars too. If you love history, romance and Scotland, Amy’s entire superbly-crafted Guardians of Scotland series is a must-read.What about Dave Gillies’s performance did you like?
Dave Gillies returns to voice The Time Traveler’s Christmas. His voice is music to my ears. As with every audio I’ve heard him perform, he does an outstanding job bringing this story and these characters to life. He differentiates between the characters to where I have no issue whatsoever knowing who is speaking. His voice is clear and easy to understand even with his wonderful sexy brogue. The pairing of Amy Jarecki and Dave Gillies is nothing short of perfection personified. If you can listen to this series in audio, by all means, do it!If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
For lovers of history, romance, Scotland and William Wallace!Any additional comments?
Amy is one of my very favorite authors. I’ve not read a single book by her that I didn’t enjoy. Here's one of my favorite jaw-dropping quotes from the book:
“My mum always taught that the truth will set you free.”
“Did she now?”
“Mm hmm,” Lachlan brushed the pad of his pointer finger over her cheek’s silken skin. “But she kept one truth hidden from me until very recently.”
“What was that?”
He gulped. “You know the truth thing on the medallion?
“Aye.”
“Well, if that’s my rallying cry, then it will mean the world to me if you trust that I’m not lying.”
She let the disk drop back to his chest. “Ye can tell me anything, I’d reckon.”
He needed to tell her the truth. “My father is – was William Wallace.”
I was swept away!
