About this listen

The masters of the Doom Eagles Space Marines Chapter descend upon the world of Tranzia to honour a batch of new recruits who will lead the Chapter into the next generation. As they make planetfall, the world rises up against them in a rebellion organised by the alien Tau. But something else lurks behind the xenos, a horror that has haunted the Imperium since its very beginnings. The Doom Eagles and their Adepta Sororitas allies are thrust into a race against time to discover the true architect of the Tranzia Rebellion before the entire world is consumed by darkness.

The story is good, interesting insight into Doom Eagles. But whoever edited this audio did terrible. The intro music and author introductions are repeatedly done in this book that already isn’t that long on its own.

Story Break up

Not a bad story overall, but each chapter is 5-10 min and every chapter introduction is a little over a min. The intros get old real quick, as the pace builds, boom same intro repeated.

The intros

Like the other reviewer it keep on getting cut and played the same music and the narrator names.

Bad execution

+great voice acting
+rich lore
+amazing characters and personalitys
-bad video editing
-horrible pacing overall
overall i enjoued my experience but the unnnescarry credits every twent minutes or so ruins the immersion and really a exposition narrator would make this a great novel.

its pretty okay

To many breaks for recast on who is part of the narrative. Just state the chapters and move on. However, I do like that Jane Wymark was part of the cast.

Great story line but,

there is about a minute in-between each chapter which ends up being kinda annoying to have to skip each time, Interrupts the flow of the story. the voice acting and sounds effects are great which make it worth a listen.

short and sweet.

Every few minutes you hear the same music and names of the readers. It gets more irritating each time.

Good story but terrible execution.

almost impossible to listen to, every 5 mins the story gets interrupted for credits, like it was a radio serial doing a full credit read between commercials. just a really bad editorial job on this one. looking at you games workshop, try using a basic plot. hint dump AOS.

way too many credits

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.

No description of action or place, just sound effects. Needs exposition, can't tell what's happening.

Terrible audio drama

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.

It’s a short audio drama, and yet most of it is intro music and credits repeated every chapter (5 min) so about a third of the book is just credits and trumpet music. The plot is rushed and has no real climax or conclusion. As an avid Warhammer fan, I’ll also say the behavior of the characters is nonsensical for space marines and the “surprise” bad guy.

Bad plot and reading
