About this listen

This unique medical book is meant to enable the average person to handle injuries and illness in situations in which modern medical facilities and professionals aren't available due to a disaster.

This book is written by America's top medical preparedness experts: Joe Alton, MD, and Amy Alton, ARNP. Their mission: to put a medically prepared person in every family for when medical help is not on the way. Using decades of medical experience, they address, in plain language, dozens of medical issues associated with surviving disasters and epidemics. The Altons also discuss the medical supplies needed to become a medical asset to your family and community as well as alternative and natural strategies for when pharmaceuticals aren't available.

Most medical books will send you to the doctor or hospital when an emergency happens. The Ultimate Survival Medicine Guide assumes what might actually happen - that the average person could be left without medical help in a disaster. With this unique book, you'll have a head start on keeping your family healthy in times of trouble.

Must listen

A must listen to! I would recommend also getting a hard copy of the book. So much information in a digestible format. I recommend speeding the narration up to 1.1 or 1.2. Makes for a better listening experience.

Be Prepared

loved it. There was a lot of good information. Also there were quite a few good references for additional reading.

An important book to be prepared

Although this is not a physical copy which would be important for quick reference listening is important to understand meditation in a survival situation.

Loaded with great information!

Audio books don't provide hard copy reference charts by which to use as references in the future.

Half way through, review. YOU NEED THE HARD COPY.

I am half way through the book and I am buying the hard copy book.
The book is great. I can crews through an audiobook quickly coving all the bla bla bla material, but I need the book for some pictures and then there are lists of stuff to get. This is one of the times when a PDF should come with the audiobook.

Side note, I got the audiobook for free. I would really like to have a MP3 copy, but can't... Again frustrating.

amazing audiobook, even better book!

if you are a family going on hiking/camping trips this audiobook will lay out almost everything you'd need to know on such vacations if they are to happen, but if you were to be without service or your phone is left in the car to fully enjoy nature (or the end of the world) then I'd definitely get a physical copy! I listened to this twice now and decided to get a physical copy and it's a better and more involved experience! it shows you the names of the things you'd need at the start all the way to the very end when it's teaching you pillow splits! tldr: the audiobook is amazing, the physical copy is perfect!
