Publisher's summary

The hunters become the hunted....

Driven from their hometown of Mystic Falls, both Stefan Salvatore and his brother, Damon, arrived in Europe looking for a fresh start. But Samuel, a wealthy and cunning vampire, has other plans for them. First he ruined Stefan’s peaceful existence and now he’s framing Damon for the most gruesome murders London has ever seen.

United against their common enemy, Stefan and Damon are stunned when they realize that the source of Samuel’s rage lies in their past - tied up with the woman who forever changed their lives. Haunted by the memory of Katherine, the brothers find that their uneasy alliance is tested. Can they overcome their rivalry to defeat Samuel before he exacts his final revenge?

Based on the popular CW TV show inspired by the bestselling novels, Stefan’s Diaries reveals the truth about what really happened between Stefan, Damon, and Katherine - and how the Vampire Diaries love triangle began.

Featured Article: The Vampire Diaries Character Guide

The Vampire Diaries is a sweeping saga that revolves around Elena Gilbert, a young mortal woman living in the small town of Fells Church, Virginia, and Damon and Stefan Salvatore, vampire brothers who are vying for her affections. Forces of good and evil play out across the town as nearly everyone they know becomes wrapped up in paranormal intrigue, especially when old enemies and ancient forces come to visit. Spanning 13 novels written over 20 years, the series has inspired a long-running television adaptation and unofficial spin-offs. Needless to say, there’s a lot of characters to keep track of.

Good

Stefan's diaries were good info on the back story about the Salvatore brothers but bc I'm a VD fan, these books were a little boring bc at the time I read this series, I already read every other book they have on this series as well.

Pleasantly Surprised

Would you listen to The Vampire Diaries: Stefan's Diaries #5: The Asylum again? Why?

Yes. I'm sure there is some stuff that I missed the first time.

What did you like best about this story?

It gives somee of the back story that leads up to the original books.

Have you listened to any of Kevin T Collins’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

About the same. He's very good and expressive.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes

Better than previous books

I don't know if this book was better than the preview few in this particular series or if it was just better because I listened to it on Audio instead of reading it. But I did enjoy this one more that the others.

The changing of the narrator!

Changing narrators after the first 4 books kind of ruins it they don’t have the same voice or accents. After the 5th book I don’t think I’ll listen to the 6th book. I think I’ll be done with this series.
