Publisher's summary

“You can’t marry him if you’re already married to me.”

That was how Silas Cruz proposed to me—more like demanded, really. He didn’t exactly give me a choice.

He’s dark, jealous and incredibly possessive.

And he’s just one of the villains in my story.

I used to think he was my hero.

Still, there’s one thing I know for sure. Whenever I need him, whenever I’m in danger, he comes for me. He’s proven that time and time again.

But the game has changed, the stakes raised to life and death.

And Silas may be the most dangerous of all. Because he’s the man who holds my heart in the palm of his hand.

Great story but FMC is an idiot.

I love all of Natasha’s books but for some reason this FMC was my least favorite. She’s naive and foolish. Granted everyone around her kept secrets from her but common sense was not something she ever used, especially knowing the people around her were dangerous.

Enjoyable and Satisfying HEA

Not amazing but definitely well-written and entertaining. Not dark enough for my taste but I still liked it. For sure worth the credit .

sexy but sporatic

your typical spicy romance with plenty of 🌶 scenes. I feel like book 2 didnt have a clear direction. it felt like the author kept changing her mind on how she wanted the book to end. pieces of the story seemed to be important to the plot but then just fell off or resolved way too simply. like the uncle? or how her dad's prison charges? it didnt play out very well. but if you just want some stereotypical spice (graphic but nothing to crazy) with decent writing, this is a good pick.

Ugh, sorry to be harsh but no

I usually love this Author but the FMC was beyond annoying. She wasn’t strong just, a weak awkward afterthought. I think the idea of her was to come off as intriguing, resourceful, and courageous but instead she came off as whiny unlikeable imbecile and completely unrealistic. The narrator was fine, there was just no helping this character. It took everything to finish and I won’t be buying the second book. I just don’t think I can take another second of her. Mafia romance usually comes with a FMC that can handle anything, I was just waiting for her to fall apart on every page. Natasha Knight was more intriguing characters so I recommend picking almost any other of her books.
