About this listen

The Conclusion of The Epic Series that Began with The Dream of The Iron Dragon

Ninth century Iceland. Three explorers from the far future have a daunting mission: To save humanity, they must build a craft capable of reaching the stars.

The Voyage of The Iron Dragon is the concluding book in The Iron Dragon trilogy. The Iron Dragon trilogy is being produced as part of the phenomenally successful saga of The Iron Dragon Kickstarter, which raised over $10,000. Meticulously researched and packed with action, The Dream of The Iron Dragon is a must for sci-fi and alternate history fans.

"Terrific storytelling, letter-perfect alternate-history, and the highest stakes for humanity imaginable combine to make this a thrilling start to an exciting new Viking saga. Kroese avoids both romanticizing and demonizing the Vikings, showing them to us in all their humanity, while spinning a tale that pulls no punches and leaves us gasping for more." (Lars Hedbor)

Ending and premise of ending wasn’t consistent. How could going to other planet help since they would have no way to land, find bomb and return to IDL without a lander? Also whole Loki theory of time seemed very implausible & forced.

Ending seemed rushed

So inventive and detailed. Recommend for just about anyone science fiction or history buff. Who doesn't like a good Viking story melted together with a great sci-fi

So much fun love the series

Really really enjoyed the story, once I started I couldn't help but binge. The actions are well though out but seem abridged in a way, it felt like there was so much happening so quickly at times that there was easily enough material to fill another book or two before ending where it did. The ending leaves many questions unanswered, providing enough room for the reader's imagination and hopefully ( I would buy it in a heartbeat) a sequel.

Excellent, but felt rushed

All of the technology extrapolations are are very reasonable. The story is very far out but at the same time you can get caught up in it

I am a big of this series

I really like how small details are eventually tied together and I loved the suspense.

Loved the series

This excellent series could have use another novel. At times, the pace seems sluggish, but the book concludes with a frantic scramble to tie up plot points.

Feels a little rushed.

this whole series is fun. the imagination and research that went into the details is fantastic.

fun series

The pacing of this book is horrendous. The character development / arcs are none existent. Most of it is written as an after action report not characters interacting or doing things. The narrator is a nasally almost monotone bore. You should not waste a credit or money on this book. Do not make the mistake I made buying and listening to this book.

Make the bad man stop writing

A very interesting premise and generally well thought out. However, it seems like the ending was quite rushed and could have benefited from being 4 books instead of 3. Additionally, I disliked the way the question of paradoxes was handled. It felt very unsatisfying, but that's mostly personal taste I suppose.

Interesting story, but rushed ending.
