Story
Iraq War veteran Kelton Jager and his ex-military working dog Azrael have evaded Virginia law enforcement and slipped across the state line into North Carolina where they’ve been passing the winter in seaside Pony Beach, laying low, and doing odd jobs for an aging widow. A spate of gruesome murders and a teen girl’s abduction then coaxes Kelton to his civic duty of assisting the small sheriff’s department with desperately needed K-9 support. However, the longer and closer Kelton and Azrael work with the lawmen, the more Sheriff Boxer and his posse ask uncomfortable questions of ...

Story
Another witness had come forward, saying they were sure they had seen someone of Tom’s description near one of the old mine pit lakes. It was going on two years now since his disappearance, but of course, anything was possible. After all, while the clues had gone cold and witness memories faded, there was one thing that doesn’t die away, the scent of death. And that is where the dogs come in.

Story
Iraq War veterans Kelton Jager and Azrael attempt to integrate back into American society pursuing a job at a new federal facility on a tip from a local veterinarian. Nestled in the mountains of Virginia’s Blue Ridge, Bearton seems a nice enough town to make a new start. There are modern conveniences, fresh air, and kind people. Best of all, numerous ex-Military Working Dogs are being shipped in at the local airport, indicating his skills as a dog handler might be in demand. Although Kelton’s application fails to bring him an employment opportunity, his observations raise questions. The...

Story
The deputy sheriff who was pushing drugs and trafficking women. An Animal Control Officer, kidnapping a teen girl salaciously desired by corrupt city officials. A research scientist planning to spray football fans with nerve gas to promote his research. Iraq War veteran Kelton Jager killed them all, with 10mm bullets from his Glock Model 40, on his long dog walk across Virginia. No regrets or remorse; just put the glowing green triangle of the reflex sight on their bodies and pull the trigger. Righteousness, Good triumphing over Evil. However, to Special Agent Edward Miles of the Virginia ...

Great series!
Each book in this series, was as good as the last. Some were more emotional than others, pulling on the heartstrings, especially with the relationship of Kelton and his dog, Azreal. I was sad to finish the series, and not have them to read about anymore. The virtual narration did a very good job as far as virtual goes. It was funny at times to hear some interpretations of was being read where I could tell what the author wrote but how the computer saw it. There’ve been some I turned off, right away, just couldn’t listen to. So, try these books out, I think you’ll enjoy them if you like K9 stories.
