Publisher's summary

Three years after the sudden death of her husband, Lucy Blacker Swift has finally got things under control. Leaving behind the cutthroat world of Washington, Lucy and her two children move to a Vermont farmhouse and start to rebuild their lives. But a string of unexplained events, late-night hang-ups, a bullet through a window, threatens her new life.

Unwilling to turn to her powerful father-in-law, Senator Jack Swift, Lucy tracks down Sebastian Redwing, an international security expert her late husband asked her to contact if she ever needed help. Sebastian, though, wants nothing to do with her problems, or with a woman he's been half in love with since her wedding day.

But Sebastian knows he has no choice, and reluctantly he becomes drawn with Lucy into a dangerous tangle of blackmail, vengeance, and betrayal, with Lucy's powerful family, and Sebastian's troubled past, smack in the middle.

Great read.

It was great - just too short, needed to be much longer...I loved the plot.

Awful

Maybe if this wasn't abridged, the story would be more interesting and have more content.
I found the main characters to be very unlikable and the plot very flimsy.

Terrible

This book is not very good- first of all it’s very short, only realizing that instead of a 9 hour book it’s barely 3 hours but still the same full price. Overall unsatisfied

Audio is missing chapters

I liked this book when I read the hard copy book so I purchased. However this audio is missing chapters from the original book.

abridged story

What would have made The Waterfall better?

This abridged version was atrocious. Charaters (a strong point in Neggars' books) came out of nowhere and there was no development. Nothing made sense until I read the book to figure it out.I usually avoid abridged versions but missed that indication when I bought this audiobook. What a waste of money

Has The Waterfall turned you off from other books in this genre?

Only on abridged versions of anything
