About this listen

One year of training in samurai school, and Jack Fletcher is in real trouble. Not only is he struggling to prepare for the Circle of Three, an ancient ritual that tests a samurai's courage, skill and spirit to the limit, he's caught in a running battle with fellow student Kazuki and his gang. But these are the least of Jack's problems. He knows his deadly rival - the ninja Dragon Eye - could strike at any moment. Jack possesses the very thing he will kill for.

Even Bater !!*****

This book is even better than the 1st. It has all of the entertainment value of the previous and goes deeper into martial arts, an QI/ , Chi,/Ki. If you liked books like the Cradle series, Awakened by M.C. Carney,A Thousand Li:, Painting the Mists, series and Progressive fantasy novels in general your love this book. The techniques in this book the the added bonus of being historically accurate as a cultural myth or historically accurate martial art practice depending on your views on Qi. Can not say enuff good things about this book!

Amazing...

I didn’t know if I was going to like this series at first. It took a second for me to get into it. But when I did there was no going back, now I can’t get enough. And hope all the young samurai come to audible. The performance was great the story was great I can’t praise it enough. Might not be for everyone but it was definitely for me. Highly recommend.

Enjoyable story

A fun story with fun characters. I love the setting of this book being in late era feudal Japan and getting to imagine I'm in Japan during a time when the Samurai were prominent. My only complaint is that the narrator is horrible at pronouncing Japanese words, but it's tolerable.

Fantastic story, so glad I lucked into this series

So I am currently in a weird place in life,,, I’m 40 going on 41 in a couple months, my job was eliminated because of Covid downsizing and I’m ina place of depression and listening to about 18-20 hours of audiobooks a day for the past year or so. I don’t do TV, I live alone, and I spend my time in the mind worlds that authors attempt to create....

This series is a solid 90/100 with the Harry Potter chronicles being a 96/100 imho to give you reference point of how I judge them. ** if I based it just on the first two vs the first two books I’d even give this series a slightly higher score like 93/100

another pathetic mc

stay away. unless you want to read about another pathetic loser who fails at everything he does. its like the author hates his Mc and tries to think up more and more ways to humiliate and belittle him. shame, cuz samurai stories are such an entertaining niche. then on top of this all... the worst narrator was found to do it. if you don't know how to pronounce a word, there's this thing called Google. you should try it. wtf
