Would you try another book from Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child and/or Rene Auberjonois?
Yes I will try one of their (Preston & Lincoln) other series. Rene would be better If the characters had not been established in a whole other voice. What is funny is the three narrators before Brick picked up series flowed. Not nearly as abrupt a change as Auberjonois. I had a hard time even liking the books because of the change. It hurts to read and I loved the stories so I kept listening. What did you like best about this story?
Pendergast becoming more human with each story. What aspect of Rene Auberjonois’s performance would you have changed?
Slow and grumbled. I knew the characters portrayed by Brick. Took me almost all the rest of series to get used to new voices. Never really learned to like them. I listened to whole series because I love agent Pendergast.Any additional comments?
Get Brick back for next Pendergast book please.Loved story, hated narrator change.

Although it gets off to a slow start, the book quickly picks up the pace as soon as Pendergast and Constance get to London. Although our two heroes are the only familiar faces from the Pendergast series, Lincoln and Child do not disappoint by introducing a new slew of characters aboard ship who spring to life and quickly envelop the reader into their struggles.
I really enjoyed this book. It was a change of pace from the New York City setting most of the novels center around. That said, I am looking forward to “Revenant” and seeing Nora and Bill again.
Pendergast is back on the case
