Brought me back to my D&D days which were much more on the ridiculous side. From fire farting dragons to magic pepper this story delivers. I will have to go back and find the first installment and to seek the rest as they are released. Kept me well amused. I received this audiobook from the author narrator or publisher for free via audiobookboom in exchange for an unbiased review

D & D style hilarity

This was a short book that was great for a quick laugh. This is the second book in a new series, and I went into this without having heard the first book. This book drops you in the middle of a story, so I didn’t get a good introduction or history of the characters. I felt like I missed out a little on the previous story, but because this was a comedy I was able to jump right into it. The comedy was good, and it got me chuckling several times. You can expect to get a smart-aleck response to pretty much everything. The narrator did a great job voicing all the characters and I felt the voices fit the characters really well. Overall, this was a great quick listen and I plan on following the rest of the series.

A Quick Laugh

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This is in a series that I have not read, but hope to soon. There is a lot of snark and what could be called teenage blasé attitudes, all wrapped up in a magical quest. It is fun and makes you giggle at some of the silliness, just part of the joke in the story.

What about Evan Harris’s performance did you like?

Harris is a good narrator, with just the right amount of snark in his voice to speak for the protagonist. His voices and accents were done well and his pacing does not fly all over the place.

Entertaining but short

This is another great and funny adventure with Benjamin cross. This story line is creative, unpredictable, and hilarious.

Benjamin continues the adventure his wizard uncle has set out for him. In this installment of the series he finally gets some answers, makes some new friends, obtains some powerful new tools, and even fights a dragon... Who farts fire!

I wish that the author had combined the short stories into one long audio book, but that doesn't necessarily take away from the story. This audiobook picks up immediately where the last one ended with no backstory.

Not the best fantasy or comedy audiobook ever written, but it is definitely entertaining and fun. 4/5 stars.

I received a free copy of this audiobook from the author, publisher, or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review. I was NOT required to write a positive review and this reflects my honest opinion of the work.

A Wizard's Comedy

I should first state that this is part two of the series and I have not listened to part one. So for me the story seemed to be already set in motion and I may have been missing some vital plot points.

Even though I missed part one I found it highly entertaining and very much love the way the author creates characters and twists in his plot.

Really the randomness of the story is incredibly appealing. I found myself both laughing and deeply engaged in the storyline. I also very much liked the narration. Great work on characters invoices.

If I was to have any suggestion for the author at all it would be to simply add a quick recap at the beginning for those who were unfortunate like me and came into the story on the second episode.

Overall very entertaining! I was given this audiobook free of charge in exchange for a fair and unbiased review.

Fun and entertaining adventure!

This installment of Benjamin Crosse is absolutely delightful. With his companion Figstick, Benjamin makes new friends (my favorite is Bob the vegetarian vampire), journeys to the land of Ooze to meet a wonderful wizard, encounters a dragon that farts fire, gets a magic staff and learns that he must defeat a powerful sorcerer. (Oops, perhaps I'm giving too many spoilers.) The story had me giggling constantly and the narrator did a super job bringing it to life. I especially liked all the allusions to L. Frank Baum's classic tale. The young Dora with her headless teddy bear Tofu was an especially nice touch. (Can't wait to see who or what she will eat in the next episode). Excellently written...just not long enough. I wanted more.

What a Fun Story!

Overall silly and nice. Many winks and nods to other stories. Very short in duration. I would prefer all episodes in one book.
