About this listen

Ballet is the only thing I’ve ever had, my only reprieve from my sad life after my father died and my mom turned to the streets.

That’s until the night I’m attacked. I tell myself it won’t happen again, but then it does, and this time I make the ultimate mistake. I fight back.

My only option is to call them: Kane and Cash Hale.

From the moment I met the two terrifying, yet gorgeous, men I knew to cross their paths would mean trouble.

I can’t trust the cops and I’m afraid I’ll end up in jail without their help.

Except their help comes with a cost … a cost that involves both my body and my soul.

Overall ok storyline

I feel like there could have been more character development on all fronts. Again the male narrator is good and improved from the previous book but still not fitting for the character.

Doubly Mismatched

In this sequel, the author used the same male narrator Griswold Addams, from the first book in this novella series. Unfortunately, Griswold’s voice still doesn’t fit the role of a tough guy Mafia character, as I’ve stated in my review of book one. In this story, the mismatch is doubled, as the MMCs are twins.

Horrible

Imagine a bad comedian making fun of Italians… it’s like waiting for the punch line in a crappy joke. That’s what the narrator sounds like. The story line isn’t great either. I like dark romances, but this one doesn’t make sense. It’s almost as if the author was made to shorten the book and took out too much of the character interaction.
