About this listen

He’s someone she can’t trust.…

She’s someone he thinks he knows.…

Violet Wilson is a wallflower. Shy, serious, and accident prone, she’s got a bad habit of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. The night she's forced to pose as her friend might just be the worst time of all - that's when she's meets Jet Blevins. She knows better than to get involved with someone like him, but he touches her in ways she never expected, never wanted before.

On the outside, Jet is a typical rocker, an arrogant lead guitarist who unapologetically lives a wild lifestyle. But on the inside, he’s battling demons and using the stage to escape the troubles of his past and the addictions of his present. Until the night he sees Violet standing at the back of the room. She brings his life into focus. She knows his secrets. She’s the girl he can’t forget.

But can they ever hope to have a future when their very foundation is nothing but lies?

Couldn’t finish

The story was goos but the female reader ruined it. She read with southern accent and it was the worst southern accent I have ever heard! I’m a southerner and we don’t sound anything like her. That said, after a couple chapter in, I couldn’t finish. I had to stop because her accent got so annoying! If you can stand her aweful accent, the this story is for you.

Great series for young adult reading

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would definitely recommend this book and series to a young adult and my mom. It had sex in it but wasn't graphic or real detailed.

love these men!

Any additional comments?

This is the 3rd installment of the A Wild One’s Novel by M.Leighton. This author is prob one of my favorites around, and she surely knows how to write sexy hot alpha males that dominate the woman in the stories. But they aren’t jerks, they are by far a dream come true. With this 3rd installment she didn’t disappoint. I recently read some negative reviews, but I don’t get how that could happen, but in my case, I listened to the audiobook of this one which makes these Wild One Novels 100x’s better. The narrator is Amy McFadden, and again she is by far one of my favorite narrators, therefore you feel every character from start to finish. The other co-narrator Nick Podehl is just as good, and does very well working with Amy.

In this third installment, this story is about Jet and Violet. Violet is a very conscious, fully aware of her surroundings of people that have a weakness for help. Hence she’s a case worker. She takes care of everyone including her BFF and her father. While helping her friend out and attended a SAA meeting (Sex Addiction) she meets the bad boy rocker Jet. What a place to meet your next someone! They both go into this story with lies, even thou we know Violets right off the bat, its Jet’s that leaves you in anticipation of what he’s hiding from Violet. Even thou Jet is not very shy on proclaiming he wants Violet, Violet fights every step of it.

“Don’t you understand, Jet? You were my weakness. You are my weakness.”

Once they finally take trip to New Orleans, and Jet shows Violet a good time. However, was it a mistake? After she confesses her lies, she thought what on earth could happen to them now, the lies have been revealed but Jet holds the one secret that must be told, and he has to earn her trust once again..

“You are the beautiful notes in every song I sing. You are the beautiful face behind every lyric I write. You are my reason, my muse. You’re the love I was waiting for, the one thing I can’t live without.”

This book was good, not the best of M.Leightons but it was good enough for a 5 star, you get the suspense, sex and the HEA all wrapped up in one.

Ugh!

I loved the first book in The Wild Ones Series and just kept hoping any of the rest would turn out good. Other than the first, these are pretty shallow. I'm giving up on any more to come. Just not that great.
