Publisher's summary

Wickedly funny. Wildly twisty. The new book from the master of the heist novel.

“A super-thief who leaves no trace.”—Andy Garcia

“An anti-hero for our times.”—Sarah Dunn

“A can't-miss master.”—David Baldacci

Super thief Riley Wolfe can do it all. He is a master of disguise, can scale a wall, and can vanish into thin air (thick air, too). He uses these unique talents to rob the richest. But this time, it’s the most powerful who have him in their grips.

ONE MADMAN. TWO HOSTAGES.

It’s not just that the high-up, rogue government agent has abducted the only two people Riley loves: It’s the fact that Riley has to do the man’s dirty work to set them free. It’s something Riley ordinarily would find a modest day’s work, infiltrating a madman’s Soviet missile silo in one of the world’s most remote places, all to find a secret on a tiny flash drive—but he’s never had to race the clock like this.

SOMETIMES TRUTH CAN BE A THREE-EDGED SWORD.

From its vivid, remote locales to its John Wick-meets-Deadpool dialogue, this gripping heist novel from Jeff Lindsay, author of the Dexter series, is everything: an utterly escapist, must-listen novel of espionage, thievery, love and betrayal. It twists, it turns, and keeps everything on the line until the very end. Even for Riley, it looks like this time, the only way out is through.

The Author of the "Dexter" series Strikes again!!!

The author has created another character that you simply cannot resist loving.
Riley Wolfe is as deep and intricate a character as Dexter ever was!
I sincerely hope Jeff continues Riley's adventures with future novels (and maybe Dexter, too!!)

My Favorite Anti-Hero!!!! (Next to Dexter!)

I sure wish Jeff Lindsay would write more books in this Excellent series. This is the third book in the Riley Wolfe series. These books can each be listened to as a standalone however I would suggest at least listening to book 1 for background on this magnificent thief!
Riley Wolfe (great name using two well known cliches) is the greatest thief in the world. Every law enforcement agency would like a piece of him. He’s contacted by a rogue CIA agent who wants him to pull off an impossible job for him. He wants him to steal a flash drive from a former KGB agent now living on a secluded island in an old abandoned missile silo. In this silo is an impenetrable vault. There is also a personal guard who is an unbeaten refrigerator of a man. Ryle must disguise himself, find a way to get this ex-spy to trust him and allow him into his home. If he can’t pull it off it could cost him his life.
Then there’s the matter of the rogue CIA agent. He kidnapped Riley’s girlfriend and mother to get him to agree to do this job. Riley can’t just walk away when the only two people he loves are out in danger in order to coerce him.
This is a fast paced book. The characters are interesting and believable. I did not want this book to end!
Jeff Lindsay narrates his own book. He does an amazing job and I hope he will continue to do so in future books.
This book has my VERY HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION.
