About this listen

When Skye Dunbar rents a small cabin in Washington State's San Juan Islands, the last thing she expects is to be accused of computer hacking.

When marine biologist Jeddediah Walker discovers the fish contain a high concentration of chemicals, he suspects they are being deliberately dumped in Puget Sound. And he has another problem - an unexpected, beautiful, and suspicious new tenant renting his cabin. Later, when someone hacks into his computer, he realizes it is no coincidence and sets out to find out more about his mysterious tenant.

However, Skye doesn't like Walker from the moment she lays eyes on him. He feels the same way. But that's about to change.

Three Weeks Last Spring

I really enjoyed this book by Victoria Howard with its incredible imagery and unexpected twists. Skye and Walker have a complicated relationship in this book. The story pulled me in right away with Skye leaving London to visit the San Juan islands. I did like how the author meshed mystery in this story. The narration by Virginia Ferguson was well done. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.

All of my favorite things in one book

This story mixes a little bit of all of my favorite things. There’s mystery and intrigue, some nerdy characters, a budding romance, and a couple red herrings to keep me guessing. Skye and Jeddediah both have some secrets they need to keep, but will these secrets bring them together or tear them apart? And are they as trustworthy as they seem on the surface? The intrigue kept me listening to the very last page, while cheering for a romance to work between Jeddediah and Skye.

Three Weeks Last Spring

Skye decides she needs some time to herself, so she heads to the states for a 3 week Holiday. She discovers a man lurking about her cabin rental and immediately dislikes him. But Jeddediah is suspicious of everyone and is searching for someone making illegal dumps in the water. The two are sort of forced together as is trying to find out if she is involved. The story is well written and keeps you involved. I disliked Skye's ability to stand up for herself in the situation in the cabin, and her allowing him to think it was somewhat ok how he treated her. I know love will forgive a lot, but sometimes or somethings are unforgivable and he should have been taught his own lesson. The narrator did a nice job on this.

Three Weeks Last Spring

A broken heart has left Skye unable to trust. When she’s finally able to start to open herself up to live again will history repeat itself?

Victoria Howard has written a fantastic story that really captured my heart.

Virginia Ferguson’s narration was very well done. A truly enjoyable listen.

Great Listen

I really enjoyed the story, and liked the action and drama. I think the author did a very good job. The narrator did really well with accents and bringing characters to life.

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

Skye chose wrong

I found it odd that Jed was referred to by his last name (never first name) all the time, but Skye was called by her first name always. Very irritating. I didn't care for Jed's overly aggressiveness and abuse to Skye. She should have gone to the police about his kidnapping. He was out of control. Jed had an overinflated ego-very unattractive and beyond arrogant. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator wasn't consistent with her accent of Skye. Sometimes she was british voiced and others she was American. Smh. Skye seems to gravitate toward abuse men according to her past so Jed fits her pattern.

Good

I got this story via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. This complicated love story is twisted around a couple who distrust each other before discovering what it takes to make a love that will last. The H discovers something terrible happening and believes the h is involved. This leads to several awkward encounters. Love wins in the end. The narrator was good for the story and after the story had a slow start moved it along quite nicely.
