Just friends.
That’s all Beckett Weaver and I have ever been.
Sure, he’s a hot cowboy who left Wall Street behind to take over his family’s ranch. Yes, I’ve had a secret crush on him since we were 17. And who wouldn’t appreciate those strong hands, that massive chest, and the way he fills out a pair of Levis?
He makes a girl sweat just looking at him...and I look. A lot.
But I’m a single mom trying to move on with my life, and he’s running that ranch single-handedly while taking care of his elderly father. We don’t even live in the same state. I only returned to my hometown of Bellamy Creek to sell my late mother’s house, and he just invited me and my son to stay with him because he’s got a big heart.
That’s not the only big thing he’s got - which I discover the night I finally sneak across the hall to his bedroom and shed my inhibitions right alongside my pajamas. And once we give into each other, we can’t stop.
The hayloft. The bed of his truck. The dock by the pond.
Nothing has ever felt so right, but his past has taught him not to believe in happily-ever-after, and every perfect night I spend in his arms brings us closer to good-bye.
Like any cowboy, he’s good with a rope and knows exactly how to tie me up.
But what if I want him to tie me down?

Becket and Maddie were friends that shared one amazing kiss, and then Maddie was off and away from Bellamy Creek. But for Beckett, Maddie was the one that got away, the one to whom he compared all women. His love for Maddie has been unrequited for years. But when Maddie comes back to town for a brief stay, he finally has a chance to act on his feelings. But given all that he carries, he doesn't want to saddle Maddie with the obligations and responsibilities that come with him. Maddie is coming off of a bad relationship, adjusting to being a single mom, and just doesn't think that a relationship is in the cards right now. But Melanie Harlow shows them the way to embrace their feelings!
Beckett and Maddie had chemistry for days, but they also had a soul-deep understanding of each other that was so well-captured in the book. Also, I absolutely adored Maddie's son, Elliot, for being himself! What a cool kid! His relationship with Beckett's father was so adorable, and it really made them a cohesive family.
The narration of the audiobook, by Amanda Ronconi and Connor Crais, was beautifully done. They are both two top-notch narrators, and they really captured Maddie and Beckett's insecurities, their love, their humor, and their hearts.
Loved this last Bellamy Creek book

Beckett gave up his Wall Street job to return home and work on the family ranch and help his father who is struggling with some memory issues. Maddie has recently returned to Bellamy Creek to sell her old house after her mother passed away. Beckett pined for Maddie when they were teenagers, but all they shared was one kiss that they never spoke of.
I loved every minute of this book. I loved the kind of mom Maddie was to her little boy. I loved how much patience Maddie had for Beckett's father. I loved how Beckett was with Elliot and how he wanted to show him all the things on the farm and teach him baseaball and just the overall father figure he was. I loved how much character and strength Beckett showed and what a good human he was. Being a caregiver to your parent is one of the toughest things in the world. The thing I loved most I think though is the author's portrayal of friendship and the love, loyalty and bond these four friends shared. It was just beautiful and truly special. I absolutely would wholeheartedly recommend this book/audiobook! I am so sad the series is finished.
Amanda Ronconi and Connor Crais both did a fantastic job with the narration of this story. they were both pleasant to listen to and brought forth all the emotion this story evoked. I would highly recommend them and look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
Perfection! Family, Friends and Love!!!

it was a funny, sweet, sexy small town story. The narration by Connor and Amanda Ronconi was great. They wonderfully expressed the humor, heart, love, angst, doubts, fears, and delights of the characters.
I loved the prologue and epilogue too.

He and Maddie were so cute!! They couldn’t deny their connection that they had always harbored for each other.
That epilogue though! So fun and sweet and HOLY BABIES BATMAN! lol
This was narrated by:
Connor Crais who was able to pull a slow low pull for Beckett’s character and he has gotten so good at the female voices that you don’t feel jarred when he swaps.
&
Amanda Ronconi who was simply perfect foe this character. Her voice is easy on the ears and her male voice is very good as well
So Sweet!
