Publisher's summary

"I don't need a fucking babysitter."

Out and proud NFL star tight end Tad Roarke has success, money, and fame. Just about everything. Except a good reputation. After being outed by the media as a promiscuous cheat, sponsors are dropping him left and right. To make matters worse, he's been targeted as the next victim of an anti-gay celebrity serial killer. The FBI works with his team to protect him, assigning agent Bryce Finnegan as his undercover bodyguard. But Tad doesn't like Bryce from the get-go. The fed thinks he's a spoiled brat. Maybe he's right. Regardless, Tad doesn't plan on proving him wrong, and he'll do anything to make Bryce's job even more difficult. Still, as much as he hates him, he can't deny the guy's hot as hell...and he wouldn't mind passing a few balls around with him in the sheets.

"I don't get paid enough for this."

Agent Bryce Finnegan is no stranger to undercover work. With a background in busting drug cartels, he's used to his life being on the line. He's not used to putting up with spoiled rich kids who don't realize how good they have it. When he meets Tad Roarke, he expects him to be a jerk. And he's right. But the more time he spends with him, the more he realizes that all Tad's attitude is little more than bravado. He's not an asshole, and the media has twisted more than a few facts to tarnish Tad's reputation. Now Bryce isn't just worried about protecting this guy from a serial killer, but about falling in love in the process.

Tight End is a stand-alone gay romance with an HEA and no cliffhanger.

took a minute 😅

So this kind of threw me at first because the narrator's voice aggravated the f*** out of me but after a while my ears got used to it. the MC are toxic af and you wonder how they ever end up having a HEA but they do I'm glad they do but man if they just had a little bit of honesty they would not have to have went through all the stuff they went through the reviews made me not want to listen to it but I'm actually glad I did once I got past the narrators aggressive ass rushed voice. it actually was a good story overall.

Fantastically Hot

I love sports romances, especially football, so this one definitely checked those boxes for me. Tad, a football player has an FBI Agent, Bryce, forced on him after gay celebrities start being violently targeted. I loved the back and forth dynamic between Tad and Bryce. When they got together their chemistry was super hot. Hello angry sex!

The narration by Michael Pauley of this book is fantastic and brings the characters to life.

Super intense

I'm almost at a loss for words. I was gifted this book by a friend who insisted that I listen to it. She's never led me wrong so I decided to give it a shot. I absolutely do not regret it. This book has everything. There's heat, action, angst, you name it it's all here. This was amazing and not at all what I expected at the start. Michael Pauley never disappoints and neither does Devon for that matter. Trust me you need to listen to this. ❤️

gay version of The Bodyguard movie

such a cute story... there are definitely some toxic dynamics but who doesn't have those? haha I really enjoyed how this author writes and have already put another book of his in my library for my next gay romance guilty pleasure read. It also touches on some very real issues for gay men which I think is great advocacy and awareness.

excuse me as I go break out into "I Have Nothing" by Whitney Houston in the shower lol

Ummmm,

It’s not bad , and the story has promise but only a quarter of the way into listening to the book I felt like I was thrown into a mixture of a telenovella and a porno - soaked in testosterone and sprinkled extra topping of side characters. I still feel like I maybe I missed the first book in a series ?!
The narrator is great ! Truly ! However, there’s too much going on -70 something 10 minute chapters is actually a perfect representation of the story . Almost each one is a new event, new feeling and new thing to process but you aren’t given time to absorb it before moving on.
Not a bad story, it’s a good one and it’s an interesting take on the “gay football star” trope . The author has a wonderful way with words !

it started out a bit bland, boring and some unappealing but it build as you go on. I would say that is a good listen but you have to have a bit of patience with.

Irresitably hot! hot! hot!

Originally I thought this book would be a lot about football, but I really enjoy Devon's books. So, be it. This book is not about football at all. This story has so many elements that its easy to forget that Tad is a famous football player. Bryce is hired to be Tad's bodyguard. Yes, the relationship predictably builds however its really enjoyable to see the two develop feelings for one another. This book is enjoyable from beginning to end.

The gay sex scenes are quite erotic. Their time together never gets old. Always unique and hot as hell!

Michael Pauley is once again over the top amazing. He truly brings the story and all the characters to life. He's the perfect icing on the cake! Job well done.

Highly recommended book. Enjoy!

Wonderful story

Bryce and Tad make a wonderful (pretend) couple due to Bryce being Dad's FBI bodyguard, but a photo exposes their relationship and they say it is fake and a joke but FBI want to run it as a real deal to get the people who want Tad dead to not get suspicious. The turns that happen are fun to watch. Michael did an amazing job once again
