Publisher's summary

Chase Rogan and Mason Finley fell in love as kids and had their happily-ever-after at eighteen. Or so they thought.

Over a decade after his estrangement from his ex, Chase returns to Finley Dairy to celebrate Mason's sister's engagement. But being back at the place where his fondest memories are--the place where he and Mason laughed, played, and loved--quickly ropes Chase back into those feelings all over again, reminding him of the flame he could never extinguish.

Despite his attempts at getting over Chase, Mason still can't move on--not from the greatest love he's ever known. When Chase comes back to the dairy, all those old feelings return, as powerful as ever. A wavering hope strengthens, making him believe that maybe...just maybe...they can find a way to put the past behind them and create a future together. But it isn't easy, and every time he pushes, Chase pulls away. As much as Mason wants it to work, if it doesn't, what's he supposed to do? How can you move on when--even after all the years--you know in your heart, he's still your guy?

Gotta say

I believe this is the best McCormack book I have read/listened to. Normally I don't get the feels with his books but with this one, he nailed it. it was steamy, heart-wrenching, heart-warming, and amazing.

Forever in Love

I’ve listened to quite a few of Devon’s books and I honestly can’t say there is a single book I didn’t like. This one however blew me away. I have a new favorite.
This is a very sweet love story with some really great steamy encounters.
Thank you Devon!

heartfelt AND steamy

I love the Daryl Banner novels set in the south. he always seems to get really good narrators, and those good old boys with their Gruff Southern drawls really do it for me. good character development. not for readers looking for a lot of action. this is really a character driven novel.

I found this second chance m/m romance satisfying

There's nothing sweeter than childhood best friends falling in love, and then reclaiming their loves after being apart for many years. I enjoyed this story a lot, but I'm not a big fan of this narrator. He's too dramatic and over the top in the sex scenes, I felt like I was listening to a sports play-by-play at times. It was bearable, but took away from my overall enjoyment of the book.

A story not to be missed...

I think in the first 10 minutes you can guess what this story will be about... and it probably is. Sure you can sum it up in a sentence or two but then you'll miss the amazing 8 hour ride of ups and downs and hot hot hotness! This is truly a beautiful story and the way the chemistry is shown through flashbacks and current situations between the two men/boys is just unbelievable. Yes, you'll go through laughter, tears, anger, frustration and joy... oh and hot hot hotness! I think I already mentioned that.

Devon McCormack knows how to write even a simple story in a capturing way and Michael Pauley knows how to bring the words to life. Remarkable.

A must read. Enjoy!

***A TOTALLY HOT, LOVING ROMANCE!!***

Again, I first read the book, immediately downloading Audible once Michael Dean worked his magic as they are "The Dynamic Duo!" For lovers of delicious, sexy unabashedly HEA's, this book will become a fav!

I appreciated how the author dealt with the time span covering our boys' relationship, beginning in middle school, on into their 40's. IF you're not one who goes kindly back & forth to various times of story development, you might find this distracting. The rest of us, however, are off to enjoy one hell of a great & powerful journey!

I was iffy about the book but please give it a chance. I laughed and cried and celebrated with these two... Such a good written story brought to life by Micheal Dean. His narration never disappoint.

Sweet

Still your guy is a sweet low angst love story. Devon McCormack is hands down one of my favorite authors, Michael Pauley is one of my favorite narrators. This story was a little slow for me. But I'll keep listen to all of his new books 😉😉

Dammit, Devon!

I know I told you already but this is a another make me cry, laugh and love book. I sing your praises to anyone who will listen! Chase and Mason are one of my top 10 couples. Their love and devotion is a testament to how true love actually is, warts and all. I'm not sure how I made it through this book but I'm sure glad for the multiple boxes of Kleenex I keep throughout my house. Thank you for sharing your talent with the world, we love you for it. And thank you for choosing Michael Pauley as your narrator. Lord help me if I ever meet the man. I might melt into a puddle at his feet.

Perfect novel.

I'm only half way through this novel, and I am already in love with it and it's 2 main characters. The narrative is incredible, and is part of the reason I enjoy the anticipation of settling in to hear another chapter. Is it possible to be crushing in fictional characters?! Definitely will be a multiple listen title. Looking forward to exploring more of the author's catalog.
Update: I finished the book! I should have had a box of tissues that I would have easily gone through from crying through the last hour, tears of both sadness and joy! Ordering the hard cover from the bookstore because it's now my favorite book! ❤️
