About this listen

Ophelia's husband disappears at the most inopportune times. After 10 years, she's not sure why she puts up with it, other than the fact that she's loved him since she first saw him in college, before the physics experiment that started Will involuntarily sliding through time. And there's nothing anyone can do about it. Or is there?

What Time is it, I Mean Day, I Mean Year?

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This review is for the audio copy of Time's Anchor by Lynda Engler and narrated by Ann Bumbak. This was a fun book to listen to. Time travel is always a good topic for a good book. This one does NOT disappoint. Story line was good, character development was consistent. It was a short read/listen and, guess what, it had an ending! I don’t mind series books but it is good every once in a while to just read one book. And very good narration by Ann which helped make the story come alive in my mind.

Entertaining short time travel story

Time's Anchor is an entertaining short audiobook about a man who randomly travels time and his wife who he always returns to. The story has its twists and turns along with a satisfying ending.

The narrator does an ok job. She speaks clearly, but she has a certain rhythm to her narration that I didn't care for.

I received a copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Great short story!

Great short story about time travel and it's effects. It's about a group of college students who participate in an experiment to earn a little extra cash. An unexpected side effect was time travel. The participants would experience random slips back in time, some lasting a few hours and others a few weeks. Things they do in the past definitely affect the future! Very cool story and great narration!

Enthralling short story

I enjoyed this short time travel audiobook, it kept my attention and I was sorry when it ended. It is a well written and narrated story that captured my imagination and soon had me pondering about the nature of reality. I quickly became attached to the main characters and loved the way the narrator portrayed them. She captured the worry, confusion, frustration and emotions well, her tone was pleasing and she gave the characters individual voices. At first I thought the story was going to be like 'The Time Travels Wife' but it wasn't, it concentrated more of the effects going into the past can have on the future. This is a well rounded, complete, very entertaining short story that leaves you hoping the author will continue to build on this themes.

Time Traveller's Wife With a Happy Ending

I loved this short story about a group of MIT students who sign up as test subjects for a physics study and end up as involuntary time travellers. The fallout from their odd adventures and it's effect on their spouses reminded me somewhat of the Time Traveller's Wife, but the outcome is much happier.
Well worth your time.

Unique and delightful time travel adventure

I love just about anything with a time travel premise. This novella packs a ton of great plotting and good character development into a small package. The premise is a clever twist on the usual idea of time travel.

It’s amazing how I was able to gain a sense of the characters in such a short book. The main character, Ophelia, was quite likable and I couldn’t help but sympathize with her and her husband for the quandary they were in.

Everything was wrapped up cleverly and plausibly at the end.

The narrator, Ann Bumback, is a great unused resource in the Audiobook world. She has a delightful voice and does a nice job with the voices and the pacing of the story. I would love to hear her being used by other authors

My only complaint is that this was such an interesting idea, I wish the book had been longer.

I was given a complementary copy of this audiobook in exchange for my honest review.

Cause and Effect of Time Traveling Romance

Time's Anchor is a short story with so much theories about time traveling. Ophelia has had enough of Will's involuntary time traveling. Ever since the accident in a physic class experiment, Will has been slipping into time and returning unexpectedly. Even moving away didn't distance the effect from the experiment of Will disappearing and returning.

Ophelia has always been a time's anchor to Will. She is what kept Will going to find away to stop the experiment from taking place. Will will do anything to stay with Ophelia. He just needs to find that opening to come back to Ophelia permanently.

For 35 pages in this story, there is so much theories of time traveling and being careful of not upsetting time. The ending left me feeling like there is something more as to another book to resolve the rest of the other characters' dilemma of trying to prevent the experiment from happening. It just left me wondering the cause and effect of time traveling.

For anyone who is interested about time traveling, this short story delivers more than a novel would about the butterfly efforts of trying to control time and traveling in time.

The narrator, Ann Bumbak has a pleasant voice to listen to. Her voice is enjoyable to listen to. I would like to listen to the narrator's voice again.

I was given this audiobook by the author. I have volunteered to write an unbiased review for this book. I was not compensated or influenced in anyway for writing this review.
