About this listen

The Lady of the Forest, Freyja, the Goddess of all woodland beasts, appears here on Midgard as a white hind. So great is her love for her deer that she herself comes in their guise. None has ever seen her, but if she permitted to give man but a glance, that is what they would see..

Tindr is handsome, kind, and the best hunter in 9th century Gotland. He possesses a deep empathy with animals, which powers his reverence towards the game he takes to survive. But he is also deaf, which closes him off from the society that surrounds him - and seemingly, from finding love.

Devoted parents and friends can't protect young Tindr from the bully who taunts him, from jealousy that turns murderous, or from the threat of surrender to the allure of the Lady of the Forest, who might destroy him.

Tindr's haven is the greenwood. It is home not only to the rabbits he snares, and the stags and boars he takes with bow and arrow, but to a rare creature of unusual beauty, a source of deepening fascination and wonder in Tindr's life.

His silent world alters dramatically at the arrival of two strangers on the island - the Welsh-Saxon Ceridwen, and the Danish warrior Sidroc. He finds a new and fulfilling life with them at Tyrsborg. But will he ever find a woman to love him?

Tindr tells the story of this strange and haunting young hunter, living amidst a landscape of wild, wind-swept island beauty.

Tindr's magic woods await you.

The Saga ended wonderfully and beautifully. I do not regret one moment if the time spent, invested and enjoying, The Circle of Ceridwen. And furthermore, as previously mentioned within my review of book IIII, I no longer compare Octavia Randolph's writings or story telling to many others. The Saga is original and well told.
BRAVO

A very enjoyable story about a very bright young man who did not let his disability stop him from having a wonderful life. This is book 5 and I can't wait to start book 6.

Very Interesting Series

I just love these Characters and being able to view their lives. These books have adventure, Love, Loss and history. All things I love. Kinda like a cross between Outlander and The Vikings tv show. 😀❤️😀❤️😀

Great story

This is a good book and I recommend it. But, the publisher's description is misleading. Only about half of this book is actually about Tindr. The book starts out telling the story of Tindr's father and then how his parents met and eventually married. Other large sections of the book are about Ceridwin and Sidrock. We finally do follow stories about Tindr and his meeting a family from the far north with rheindeer and intriguing daughter. This is certainly a fascinating part of the book. We also discover what happens to the young housemaid who tried to trick Tindr into marrying her when she discovered she is pregnant by another man.

I agree with other reviewers, this book is definitely worth listening to, but it is not the best of Octavia Randolf's series.

I am saddened that this is the last of the series. I would love for Octavia Randolph To continue the saga as it has become part of my life every day.

When authors choose to write a novel in a series featuring minor characters in the starring roles, it doesn’t always go well, especially if a minor character cannot verbally speak. Octavia Randolph, however, has managed to write one of the strongest books in the Ceridwen series to date! Her painstaking research is especially apparent in TINDR, for the author has done a wonderful job with the various cultures, including Sami. If only the reader could pronounce Scandinavian names like Tove and Harald properly.

Wonderful and Compassionate

This book starts off in the past pre-Tinder with the meeting of his parents. It follows the childhood and storyline / backstory of Tinder until it catches up or the last book of the saga left off. As always great writing and storyline, and definitely worth a listen to hear the full story of the circle of Ceridwen,

Great continuation of the story

I love the way the story addresses each character and overlaps the stories from each other other.

Such a great story. The author has endeared the characters to me.
