Publisher's summary

An ancient Norse god. A modern-day archeologist. One damning scheme.

After Dr. Lana Clarke’s parents die in a tragic drowning, she’s determined to finish their work and discover the ancient Viking settlement of Finlr.

Problem is, Finlr never existed. At least, not according to any historical records.

Despite her colleagues’ ridicule, Lana sets out to clear her family’s name. She never imagined the trail would sweep her across time to the 10th century, and into the arms of an ancient Viking god.

Baldur the Beautiful is tired of the mundane task appointed to him by Frigg and Odin to watch over Idun’s garden. It’s the same dull existence, and another midwinter come to pass. That is, until Loki arrives bearing gifts.

Lana is the perfect solution to Baldur’s loneliness, an escape from the everyday he dreads. But he’s no fool. Her presence can mean only one thing...

Loki’s scheming to steal the golden apples. Again. And it’s Baldur’s duty to keep the frost giant at bay, no matter how tempting the future time woman can be.

Desire and duty collide as Baldur and Lana are forced to face off against the trickster god.

If you’re a fan of time travel, magic, ancient heroes, and steamy romance, you’ll love To Wish Upon a Viking, the third audiobook in the To Wish Upon an Ancient series.

To wish upon a Viking

I am so sorry for my late review of this audiobook. I was able to get a code for this in return of my honest thoughts. Boulder ( I hope I am spelling this correctly?) is tasked to watch over the golden apples of life, he is swooned to watch over these as a Demi god he is immortal. But he is beginning to tired this position. Until Loke tries to gain access to this secret cave, he lures Lana a human woman who is an archaeologist. She is reeling from the sudden unexpected death of her parents. Someone she goes to the site of where her parents last went to and goes back in time. What will happen next?

Completely new to me author

This is the epitome of what a stand alone series should be. New author and new series but never once did I feel lost or like I was missing something. The narrative was engaging and entertaining and I thoroughly enjoyed this time travel fantasy romance!

I love Norse mythology

It's such a fun story. With recent reads, though, I always seem to have the same complaint. Why not have a male narrator?

A Norse mythology time travel story

Balder and Lana
Thrown back into the past by Loki the frost giant, Lana must learn to navigate the 10th century.
There she meets Balder the Beautiful who watches over the golden apples at Idun’s garden.
Unsure and wary of Loki’s motives of bringing her to an ancient Viking settlement Filnr, she can’t deny the attraction that she feels for Balder and her for him.

I really enjoy time travel stories and this did not disappoint.
This story, centred around the gods of Norse mythology kept me interested and wondering what the outcome would be.
There was love, friendship, some steamy sex scenes, evil and betrayal.
I also enjoyed the audiobook narration.
