His past is inevitable.
Private detective Greyson Travers doesn’t talk about his past, but when a specter from his youth is released from prison, he’s forced to unlock buried memories.
His old nemesis is stirring tension in the criminal underworld, and it’s not long before the trouble boils over into Greyson’s private life.
To protect the people he loves, he’ll need to dig into decades-old murders and face the unsettling consequences of his own actions.
And the truth always comes at a cost.
Buckle up for another killer mystery in the Paradox PI series, with mind-bending time travel, high-octane action, and a detective whose mouth is as dangerous as his gun.

Full disclosure, I purchased the e-book when it came out and then later received a free copy of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
I love how this series has expanded upon the universe from the In Times Like These series but from a different perspective and in a new genre: Noir Sci-Fi Murder Mystery, but still with time travel elements and comedy (though it is not a comedy, per se, it does have humorous parts).
In this book I really enjoyed learning more about Greyson.
I love how Nathan weaves the character paths through time to create a time puzzle of sorts, instead of just using Time Travel as a “vehicle” to a different destination that just happens to be in time. Temporal side effects, nonlinear events, and paradoxes are all what I look for in time travel stories, and he has certainly delivered many times in the series.
I recommend the entire Paradox P.I. series to anyone that likes time travel stories or murder mysteries, especially if you enjoy both.
Another great book in the Paradox P.I. series.

I've already reviewed the other books in the Paradox P.I. series, and they're all great, but I think this one might be my favorite. Probably the most complex story in the series, but not in a way that is difficult to follow. It also answers questions that were set up in the other books in a very satisfying way.
Note: I didn't realize that there were other books in this same universe until I'd already begun the Paradox P.I. series, so there may have been a more appropriate order that I should have read all of the books in, but the author does a great job of letting the reader jump in at any point they choose. That being said, I'll do my best to recommend an order once I've read the other series: "In Times Like These."
At any rate, whether you want to read all of Nathan Van Coops books that take place in this universe, or you're just interested in the Paradox P.I. books, do yourself a favor and pick up this series.
Probably my favorite in the series!
