About this listen

Tyler Cree has never been good at the whole "look and don’t touch" thing.

From the moment he was old enough to walk on his own two feet, he’s been looking for trouble.

Trouble comes in many forms...quite a few of those forms being the female persuasion.

Tyler knows what girls want - a bad boy. And he has the bad boy image down pat.

Ex-military - check.

Hot cop - double check.

A bike between his legs and a devil-may-care attitude - oh, yeah!

All the girls want him, yet none of them will have him - at least not all of him, anyway. A certain appendage they can have all they want. His heart, however, is not up for grabs. The useless organ inside his chest was broken and battered, mutilated by the one woman he thought would keep it safe.

Spoiler alert: She ripped it to shreds and set fire to the pieces.

To protect himself, Tyler keeps everyone at arm’s length, and never lets anyone get too close.

Then, Reagan Rose Alvarez barrels into his life and trespasses on not only his property, but straight into his abused heart. One glance is all it takes, and he’s suddenly thinking about things he hasn’t thought for quite some time - thoughts that a man like him should never have about a woman like her.

One moment of weakness is all it takes, and suddenly, he has no other choice but to go on the offensive.

Keeping her is the only other option now. Turns out, his heart isn’t as broken as he thought it was.

The only problem is, now the little she-devil holds it in the palm of her hands, and she has no clue just how much power she holds.

He’s a cop

I love how the dislike and sharp retorts turn to something worth living for, I also love how this book gives way to three different book in different series it’s a beautiful web that gets you stuck in the world of Lani Lynn Vale.

LOVED IT! My favorite in this series so far.

Tyler Cree and Reagan Rose Alvarez are a train wreck waiting to happen, and it does. And it is glorious!!!

They are both damaged people, and they both have their quirks and hot tempers, which of course make them clash in a regular basis.

They have both been badly burned by their ex's. But even against their own will, and their hot tempers, they start healing each other without either of them wanting to admit to it. They both do things that hurt the other (specially Tyler), but they don't dwell on it too long.

Of course there are the bad guys that you just want to strangle, but justice is finally dealt to them.

And I love epilogues, and this one was a home run for me.

I love listening to Joe Arden, and his narration along with Virginia Rose's is just great!.

All in all, a highly recommended audiobook with a wonderful Happily Ever After!

Tyler’s story

I feel like there is a little more missing from this story. But I guess that’s how someone would feel if they’ve listened to all of LLV’s books. You feel like you know all of the characters so personally. LLV is an amazing author. I can’t wait for her new series to begin.

Tyler and Reagan were perfect

I absolutely loved this book. Reagan and Tyler were just perfect. Reagan was a breath of fresh air that Tyler needed in his life, even though he told himself that he didn’t want a relationship. There was something about Reagan he just couldn’t stay away from.

Reagan was constantly getting herself into trouble with trespassing on people’s property while doing her research for work. But her life completely changed when she was caught trespassing on Tyler’s land. He wouldn’t let her get away with it. Actually, he just wouldn’t let her get away.

I loved how she wanted to fix the issues between Tyler and his friend Rome. She knew that the situation wasn’t as it seemed. She was really good for Tyler.

I always love Joe Arden’s narration but this was my first Virginia book with her as the lead female and she was fantastic.

Definitely going to listen to the others in this series.

Tyler and Reagan

Another Fantastic story from the talented and brilliant mind of Ms. Lani Lynn Vale. Her stories are honest, humbling, down to earth, funny and captivating. She takes these everyday men and women on a journey that grabs a hold of your heart, makes you blush a little, but overall makes you believe that their is someone out there in this world who will break down your walls and love you no matter what.
Tyler and Reagan were total opposites but had an instant connection that nether of them knew what to do with. Their chemistry was undeniable. Their journey together may not be perfect but I was rooting for them the entire time.
Narration was perfect.

Gotta love Lani

Yes, I am biased because Im a huge fan of LLV. There are very few authors that create worlds you wish you can be a part of. Along with Jamie Begley's Last Riders and Kristen Ashley's whole Colorado Mountain Rock Chick Chaos world, everytime I read or listen to one of LLVs books its like coming home. Im so invested in these fictional characters lives. The Simple Man series is one of my faves so its bitter sweet to have them all now. You can't go wrong with Joe Arden and Virginia Rose sounds like one of my besties straight out of Pearl River Louisiana so it goes without saying that I thought the narration as spot on.

Another enjoyable read from LLV

The characters are relatable and lovable. The relationship is low angst, but the story has lots of action. Plus it’s fun to see characters from other books.

Narration is great!

Too Bad So Sad

The Simple Man Series is the most amazing thing author Lani Lynn Vale had done, love all her books but this series? I love I love, maybe it's due to the fact it's an age gap series since those are my absolute favorite, but yes there you have it. love the actors she chose for this series, they have an amazing voice 😍
